I ordered the Tampiqueña at Los Comales and it was absolutely delicious. The steak was tender, well-seasoned, and cooked perfectly. The enchilada was flavorful with just the right amount of sauce, and the rice and beans tasted fresh and authentic. Everything on the plate complemented each other really well, and the portion was generous. This dish alone is a reason to come back—classic flavors done right. Highly recommend if you’re craving real Mexican food.

Winter if you weeks ago excellent service excellent food great environment. One of the biggest burritos I ever got in my life. Horchata has a different taste to it but it’s Unique good and delicious so I highly recommend bring your stretchy pants for this one a great value for the money. Parking lot is not the best with some big potholes but other than that it’s awesome there is a bar located in there on one side and then a dining in the Middle with a separate room that is very large with many heaters in it. In the summer they have it open so we could eat outside. Highly recommended

Amazing food. Great price. Always busy but always attentive. Taco’s are 1.50 on Tuesday and Thursday. Avoid the cresthill location . I was over charged $30 and they refused to give me a receipt. I will stick to Joliet location.

Food is great! I ordered online for lunch and thought the prices were high ($16.95 for the steak burrito lunch with rice and beans), then when I got to the restaurant I saw that they have a lunch special menu for $8.99 that had the same steak burrito lunch (with rice and beans) and a bunch of other lunch specials.
So, I’d recommend ordering from the lunch special menu that is not posted online (I did post a photo of the menu and lunch specials in this review – so you could look up the food on this review photo and then call in your order and save about 40%)

First of all the service and the atmosphere was excellent but the food was horrible. I had ordered a michelada Loca, and all I tasted was black pepper. Second, the jalapenos they brought to the table, the carrots were rock hard. I thought my teeth were going to fall out. Also, the green salsa that was brought to the table tasted spoiled. I ordered a carne en su jugo did not have much flavor the avocado that came with it at first look fine but once I threw it in my soup I noticed that it was black at the bottom overpowering the flavor of the soup. Also, the radishes that came on the side look like they we’re starting to spoil. I was really hoping this place was good, but it was a major disappointment.

We were in town for a dance competition and this place was recommended by 2 police officers and another local restaurant owner as “the place to go for authentic Mexican cuisine”.
They nailed it! Started out with some great chips, salsa, pickled carrot/pepper…great start. We ordered different steak burritos and they were spot on.
We’d 100% go back! Very reasonable pricing on top of it all.

A true diamond in the rough. If you are looking for a great dining experience at a decent cost, this is definitely the place. The atmosphere is comfortable and relaxing and the food is excellent as well as proportioned. You definitely get more than you paid for and the staff is super friendly and professional. I am already making plans to return.

I usually don’t post reviews but I HAVE to do for this. My family and I were very excited to try this place. But was very disappointed with the food. We ordered some steak tacos and al vapor. Meat looked old and did not taste like beef at all. They had no flavor whatever. Not even salt on them. I highly recommend you NOT to waste your money on this food. The chips and salsa also tasted and looked days old!
