I came here from Mississippi to have dinner on my birthday with my son and granddaughter. We did not however inform staff of my birthday. The food was delicious and quick out of the kitchen. Friendly staff as well. It was a week night and not real busy. Will definitely return in the future. Not sure on group size availability. Beer was served but didn’t serve liquor. No margaritas

In the area for a weekend getaway and decided to try El Potrillo. What an incredibly delicious dinner and very friendly staff! Every dish was tasty. Salsa, chunky guacamole, margaritas, carne asada tacos and a house specialty bowl filled with mouth watering chicken, beef, shrimp, veggies and cactus! Highly recommend!

Great lunch. I’m a lot particular about the Mexican food that I eat after living in the southwest for a decade. The food was excellent and well priced. My only wish was that the salsa had more heat. I understand that we are in Tennessee, but a little more heat was be awesome.
Our lunch ran less than $12 each, including the drinks. Our server was extremely polite and made sure that we had everything we needed.

I tried to call to place a to go order but they ignored the phone. I know they ignored the phone because I called again after arriving at the restaurant and watched the lady ignore the phone. She was rude when I asked that my food be put in separate containers. The food was okay at best.

Food was excellent 2nd time at this location, visited selmer los aztecas twice as well, only issue was my palomas were very weak, expected better quality mixed drink, but maybe was an off day, I will definitely be back to support this business, just hopefully better mixed drinks in the future.
