One of my favorite places to eat. Food is always hot and fresh and everything I’ve had has been very good. Staff are always friendly and welcoming and the service is usually fast. Even when things are really busy, everything still tends to be a little faster than I expect. Prices on just about everything are more than fair as well. My family and friends have been many times and overall it’s a great sit-in resteraunt. No complaints from me.

UPDATE 1/16/26
I actually was able to dine in for once last night. My partner ordered the chicken nacho fajitas (full), I ordered the pechuga chipotle and our friend ordered the chicken cheese and rice. We all liked our food. The only complaint was the salsa was absolutely terrible. I did expect my dish to be spicy as everywhere I’ve ever ordered a chicken chipotle dish it’s been spicy but here it’s not spicy at all (good for people with no spice tolerance) and purely has a smoky taste just like chipotle peppers are. I was a little disappointed at this because I was expecting a spicy dish but the dish was still very good. They do have a fee if you pay with card (not a fan) so I’ll make sure we’ll have cash next time. Normally we’d order alcohol when we go to a Mexican restaurant but we didn’t this time. I did browse the drink menu and was shocked to see they actually had the prices listed by every drink. I love that because I hate having to ask the price for multiple drinks. Our server (I didn’t catch his name) was super fast at his job and very nice. As far as restaurant noise level it was pretty quiet when we went (around 5:30 on Thursday night). Definitely can’t wait to go back and try more of their dishes and their alcoholic beverages.

This is my up-dated review. R have new been 3 times. Food was very good, service was really lacking. Our waiter took our drink order and food order then we did not see him again until we were trying to get a box for my leftovers. My husband saw the waiter and went to him to ask for a box, and he waived his hand toward him, saying go and I’ll bring it to you. The restaurant was not busy.

The Molcajete here literally holds enough to feed nine people and is a delicious mix including a very original grilled cactus plant. $1,000 says there isn’t a single person who could fit all of it in the three tortillas provided. The table service was excellent minus an awkward gap in the delivery of the beans, rice and wrpas and the actual Stone Bowl holding the proteins. It’s kind of a smaller building but enough to be comfortable in and the waitresses were attentive. Not the most lively environment but nice enough. It was good once but nothing I’ll be needing a second visit for. Pretty sure the Margaritas come from a huge mix and the chips were greasy and came with watery queso. The service and the main course were definitely the highlights.

My family love El Potrillo in Savannah, TN. I was extremely excited to have one open in Lexington! The food and service were great. Savannah is still our favorite because of Fernando, but we will definitely be back!

This may be the worst “Mexican” restaurant in town, I thought it was the other place but this was really bad! $10 for a small bowl of runny watery “cheese” dip…Are you kidding me and it was cold! The beans were orange and gritty taste like cardboard. Everything was bad all together, beef had no flavor, I will not be returning! All the food was weird orange color and taste really bad! I am not picky, worst food I’ve had in my life!!!!!

This is a wonderful new restaurant in Lexington. We ordered the combo Fajitas with chorizo and carnitas for 1 and shared it and we still took home leftovers. The meat is seasoned so nicely. I love their nice thin torillia chips and queso is just melted cheese. Salsa is kinda think but still good. The margaritas are a deal. A regular is 4.99 and is still a nice size. We should have gotten the pitcher for $24 tho cuz they were good. Service was good and everything was hot and tasty. I highly recommend you try this restaurant out. Staff is really nice!!!
