Good food, good chips, and great margaritas. The atmosphere was very fun and the service was good. I didn’t love the molcajete but everyone else really liked what they got.
2) Tonight I placed a small pickup order. Bowl of chicken tortilla soup. On the drive there they called me and said they didn’t have it and asked if I wanted regular chicken soup instead. I agreed because I was almost there. Got there paid. Then I noticed the price on their active Google maps menu said the chicken soup was $7 but was charged for the tortilla soup $10. I showed them the price listed. Instead of making it right due to the discrepancy the manager chose to argue with me. It’s not the $ that sticks out to me most in this case. It’s the manager not being able to see the situation (not having what we ordered in the first place combined with the active price on Google maps saying a different price but she chose to argue). A little customer service goes a long way…
3) another issue with Togo orders. You order a small queso. You get a small bag of chips. You order a large queso you get the same small bag of chips. Large queso should come with more chips. Not nearly enough to finish the dip. They will argue with you if you point this out. Let’s use common sense here folks.
I went in a group of four on Friday and the service was awesome and food was delicious. We told our server that we were in a bit of a rush and he was very receptive of this and made sure he was timely with everything and we really appreciated this. He was so kind and happily refilled our chips and salsa three times LOL. When I went last night, the service was a lot slower and this was surprising to me given how great it was the first time I went. I did not have the same server when I went last night, but there was one occurrence where my server from Friday night brought us something when he had noticed that we needed something. I’m assuming that the server we had last night was just not as attentive as the one that we had on Friday. It was not very busy either so we were confused why it was so slow last night. Service speed aside, our server was still very kind!
The food has consistently been fantastic. The first time I went, I got the Enchiladas Verdes and last night I ordered La Preferida (which I liked even more than the Verdes). My boyfriend and I also ordered a quesadilla as an appetizer to share and that was also good! The portions are so generous that I never have room for dessert or anything else afterwards haha. I had leftovers both times I went and each time the leftovers were enough for an entire extra meal. On top of this, the prices are relatively low. I honestly thought that the meals would be much smaller just going off of the price, but this is not the case whatsoever. You get a lot more than you expect, so come hungry!
The atmosphere is comfy and laid-back. There is a bar inside and some TVs which I generally like. It’s also very spacious.
Overall, this is a place I’d be happy to come back to!
She said one per order REGARDLESS of order size – seriously? So I can split the 5 dishes to 5 separate orders and I would get 5 chips and salsa!!?? C’mon for God sake. Where’s your common sense?
Is this how you treat your regular customers!?
She wouldn’t give me her name and hung up on me, but I think it is Lydia
I would avoid this restaurant El Porton John’s Creek Luke the plague.
Best chicken soup in town. I have never found another resto that beats theirs. This is another go-to place of mine for lunch. I usually go here Mondays or Tuesdays when Martha is working bc she is just my fave. Everytime i go, they already know to give me Martha’s table. She is the best!
They do have the best chips and salsa in Alpharetta!
