Food was great! Tomato and onion salad was mostly onion but so flavorful. Fried rice and chicken were also so good. The flan was the best I’ve ever had. So fresh and creamy. Tres Leches cake was also good. Servers are very friendly and accommodating. We will certainly be back!

I ordered a Pollo saltado and Lomo saltado. The protein portions in both dishes were tiny—literally six pieces in each dish. The packaging was in bad condition, and the juices from the protein leaked out of the containers. It was a complete disaster.

We had an amazing first experience at El Pollon! The service was outstanding and the food was just as impressive. There were so many different options on the menu—something for everyone. We’ll definitely be back!

We love this place! It’s our go-to when we need a meal on the go. The food is excellent, the staff friendly, and the pricing reasonable. The quarter chicken comes with either light or dark meat, mixed vegetables and fried plantains, all of which are delicious. I always, feel satisfied and without breaking the bank.

El Pollon in Carnegie delivers a delicious Peruvian dining experience! The carne asada was the highlight—perfectly cooked and amazing when dipped in their jalapeño sauce. The chicken quesadilla was cheesy and satisfying, while the Lomo Saltado offered tender beef, crispy fries, and a tasty mix of vegetables. The fries themselves were crispy and perfectly seasoned. For dessert, the Tres Leches cake was moist and sweet, a perfect finish to the meal. The staff was friendly and accommodating, adding to the overall pleasant experience. We left excited to try their rotisserie chicken next time. Highly recommend stopping by if you haven’t yet!

If you’ve never been to El Pollon, they’re a Peruvian restaurant specializing in rotisserie chicken! I came with my sister and fiancé and we seriously all loved the food.

We tried the Chicken Quesadilla, Carne Asada, Pollo Saltado, and Yuquita Balls. When I saw the chicken quesadilla I just knew I had to try it! I am a big quesadilla fan. It was so flavorful. The yuquita balls were deep fried yuca filled with cheese. You must try them 🙂

They also had a few different sauces on the table. My fav was the spicy jalapeño!!

A really great spot that I’d love to come back to! When I come back, I will try some of the explicitly Peruvian menu, because this time I just went with classic items. I just tried their chicken burrito along with sauces.

It was actually very good! The price was super reasonable and the portion was solid as well. It was packed with a ton of rice. Actually, I would say too much rice, and it wasn’t the most flavorful, which did detract from the meal.

However, the chicken was well cooked, they had an adequate amount of beans in there, and the vegetables were well cooked too. I think there were too many onions for my liking, but that might just be me. Nice bit of cheese too, but not excessive.

I really enjoyed the sauces. Although I’m not usually a fan of spicy green sauces, this one was surprisingly refreshing. I also loved the creamy yellow sauce, and wish I ordered more of it!

All in all, great little spot for Mexican and Peruvian food. Good portions and prices, and high quality too. I would definitely come back.

If you’re craving Peruvian rotisserie chicken, El Pollon in Carnegie is the place to be! The menu offers everything from their signature chicken to subs, burgers, and classic Peruvian dishes. The restaurant is impressively clean, and the food is absolutely delicious.
To start, I had a pineapple Jarritos soda, a refreshing Mexican soda with bold, fruity flavors. For an appetizer, I went all in with The Big Papi Salchipapa Bowl—a mound of crispy fries topped with cheese, chopped hot dogs, chicken, chorizo, and steak, all drizzled with their signature yellow and white sauces. Wow, what a combo!
For the main meal, I couldn’t pass up the Family Meal, because how can you go to a Peruvian rotisserie chicken spot and not get the chicken? The aroma alone hits you as soon as you walk in! The meal included a whole rotisserie chicken with four sides. I chose cilantro rice, corn, red potatoes, and an onion-tomato salad—each side was fresh and flavorful.
I also tried the Chicken Burrito, packed with fried rice, black beans, onions, signature white sauce, and their juicy rotisserie chicken. On top of that, I had the Chicken & Cheese Sub, made with grilled white onions, rotisserie chicken, provolone cheese, and their signature white sauce, served with fries.
One of the highlights here is the trio of signature sauces they provide in bottles with your meal:
White Sauce – A creamy mayo-based sauce.
Yellow Sauce – A medium-spiced yellow sauce.
Green Sauce – A spicy jalapeño-based sauce.
Every bite was packed with flavor, and the sauces took everything to the next level. Highly recommend checking this place out! El Pollon truly delivers the taste of good times!

I was so stoked to be invited to check out El Pollon in Carnegie in partnership with Run Relay! While I don’t often find myself out in Carnegie, El Pollon is sure to change that. A Peruvian Charcoal Rotisserie Chicken Restaurant- Honestly, what more could you ask for? With its welcoming atmosphere and dedication to quality, El Pollon brings the heart of Peru to every dish it serves! They were so GOUD to me and beyond that, the food was incredible. I got to try so many delightful dishes and a really special house made drink called Chicha limeña (chicha morada) this non-alcoholic drink tastes like Christmas time with cinnamon and berry flavors throughout. The first thing I ordered was the El pollon burger and my lord it was good. Super juicy, cheesy, with their chicken and burger, shoestring fries – I then got to try the 1/4th chicken (dark meat) that came with two sides- I got Peruvian fried rice and green beans. The chicken was so tender flavorful and perfect. I’m normally a skeptic when ordering chicken bc I can’t stand dry meat, but fear not GOUDfam this was anything but. Now let’s talk about the the Lomo Saltado- whatever they sautéed that steak in I want smothered on every food i eat from now on. It was so so so good. Eat bite was better than the next and the way the rice soaked up the sauce was heaven. Finished my meal up with the decadent tres leches and it was the perfect creamy sweet treat to offset the savory dishes I indulged in. Thank you again for having me, I cannot wait to come back #GOUDapproved
