I’ve been seen this place on my way home and finally give them chance to try and loved it!
Their grill chicken was perfectly seasoned well and cooked! Beans side was delicious and rice is over average!
I’ve tried their tortas too, it’s good size of portion and tender meat in!

The service was great, the food was ok with flavor. All of the portions on the sides are extremely small. And the hole chicken was the smallest hole chicken I’ve bought. Button line, the family meal only feed 2. Or little children. To make matters worse. The fried sweet plantain weren’t cooked all the way.

Updated review (June 20, 2025): I call in to do order for pickup. They say they don’t do orders over the phone. Ok, that’s a bit inconvenient. So I drive over. I walk in and ask for a Barbacoa burrito. The cashier frantically looks for someone that speaks English then tells me the kitchen is closed and will be open in 10 minutes . The kitchen certainly doesn’t look to be that way as I see plenty of food on the grill. I ask for clarification on what she means. Is it because I asked for Barbacoa? Or if I order something else, I can get it now? There’s no point. She couldn’t comprehend my questions because she doesn’t speak English. So I left with frustration. This isn’t the first time where making a simple order such as, “I want a grilled chicken burrito with everything on it” was left with confusion because they don’t know the language.
Original review: The food should be inside the burrito, not outside of it. This thing is a complete mess. Difficult to eat. Please do a better job of wrapping, else I will stop buying from you guys.

We came here on a Friday night through the drive through and it took a half hour from when we got there to when we got our food. There was a pretty long line and we ordered three menu items. We ordered the chicken gordita, chicken flautas, and chicken taco plate. I liked the chicken taco plate the best and the gordita was pretty good as well. The flautas were average. I’ll definitely come back but just be aware the drive through is slow.
Update: we came back when it was less busy and the service was so friendly. We got the chicken taco plate again and it was just as delicious this time. We also ordered their churros. One order is two large churros. They have this super yummy filling and are the perfect amount of crispy. They are the best churros I’ve ever had, they are so good!

I got a half chicken meal.
Upon opening the miniature chicken, I noticed that all of the skin was pulled off ALL of the chicken. I tried talking to Andy, the manager in Manor, TX. Her response was that all of the chicken looks like that. LIES. When I spoke to Cynthia, the corporate manager, she said that she would review the tape and call me back. If it always looks like this, why would you review the tape. The Manor restaurant cuts corners and serves picked over food. They could have made it right or given a refund. They chose neither. Who wants this chicken?

First time trying this restaurant and I will say it is not bad. Reason why I give it 4 stars is becuase the chicken (which I assume is the star dish as the restaurant is called “El Pollo Rico”) was pretty dry . The Aguas Frescas were delicious tho especially the Horchata/Pineapple which tasted freshly made so 5 stars to those . Also had the potato with barnacoa and that was delicious too . The Chicken unfortunately was the downer for us, but everything from the rice, beans and salsas were delicious I would recommend and definitely come back again . One more comment/recommendation to the restaurant. I would definitely offer more limes with the chicken. We had the half and having 1lime for all that chicken was just very little.

Outstanding food!! We ordered the half and chicken,the quesadilla and the loaded fries with carne asada. Although the chicken was not cooked the way we wanted and had to send it back, the cashier was really nice and offered another chicken or another item from the menu. The quesadilla was the best QUESADILLA I’ve ever had, and the fries were so delicious we will definitely be back and try more items.

Traveling from Houston, Visiting my daughter, she brought me here, EXCELLENT, GREAT TASTE!!!! ABSOLUTELY GREAT Bargain, not used to such low cost for lunch with awesome portions with a lemonade, green sauce so delicious, I LOVED IT!!! reminds of Valley 956 cooking!!!! ❤️ Totally recommend!! Lunch special wing and a LARGE breast ❤️

I’m at the store right now October 11 at 8:40pm and the have the front door closed and there time at the door says that they close at 9:30pm. There was people dining inside the restaurant so I’m guessing they close the lobby to direct everyone to the drive-t .
