Very small, mostly take out. Food is excellent. Price fair for quality of food. People friendly with good menu but definitely not a white tablecloth, exclusive type place. If you are looking for very tasty Mexican take out try this. You won’t be sorry you did.

Finally decided to try the ole gas station Mexican food. I had been smelling it for months and it finally tempted me over. I got the flautas and it was just ok. I love flautas but my issue was the mystery meat that they put inside. It was just too dry for me and I felt like I had to drown it to make it not taste like playdoh. Rice and beans were great though! Next time I will try something like the chicken or carne asada tacos rather than the flautas. Everyone was nice that was working inside though.

Love this Mexican food in Round Rock, we often get a whole chicken meal which is really delicious, smells incredibly, fresh, served with small sized hot tortillas, 2 types of salsa, beans, rice, lime and grilled onion. Cheese Nachos are also very good, the portion is just perfect size. All the time we take away the food. Fast and friendly service.

My Rico bowl with steak (I know, pollo is in the name and yet I wanted steak!) was delicious!! I couldn’t help but notice the place smelled so good from just outside the restaurant. I was going to take this home and eat it there, but with how great it smelled and looked I pulled into a spot to eat it right away! Really great flavor and great portions of everything. Not too spicy too!! I was very happy with this quick meal. The agua fresca piña was also refreshing.
Update: I went back to try the chicken. It’s pretty good!!

I just tried El Pollo for the first time and WOW! SOOO yummy! It’s going to be my go-to from now on when I want chicken. And I’m so grateful to find juicy, delicious chicken that’s not fried! My belly is happy! The half chicken is an AWESOME option. It’s quick and flavorful. I’ve had better charcoal chicken, very affordable. The employees are so sweet and kind. For all those reasons it’s a 5 star.

We did not get to eat at this location because they only had a few tables. It is located next to a convenience store/gas station so it was crammed into the side of the store. It did not look inviting and the tables were full, so we left.

Saturday 5/3/25 around the 4pm hour:
Long-time El Pollo Rico fan, but this was our first visit to this location—and wow, it served. There was just one car ahead of us in the drive-thru, and they took care of them quickly.
The woman on the intercom took our order pretty quickly and she was just as friendly in person.
We ordered two Rico Bowls, and let me tell you… those bowls were stacked. They didn’t hold back.
And the best part? This location is way closer than the Palm Valley one, so we’re absolutely coming back. El Pollo Rico—you’ve officially spiced up our route home.
