There is one thing to be said about how a place makes you feel. While.the cashiers was welcoming and very polite there was an older lady there that was short and very rude with a sense of superiority. My mother asked a question and the older lady was acting like she was doing us a favor instead of welcoming more business. Also the chicken was dry. They do have Tuesday and Thursday specials and they do have the smoke flavor but I will not come back after the way my mother was treated.

I discovered this place by accident. Now all my visits are deliberate. They love my dog and even ask for her by name. There may be a wait (Tuesday and Thursday) for your order but I feel the quality of the food is worth it. The staff is charming and friendly. Plus, they love Maggie who is adopted and get 1/2 chicken for her birthday dinner.

Let me say the reviews did not lie! This place was amazing. We ordered the whole chicken and half chicken with 2 sides of rice and 2 sides of the charro beans (with delivery totaled 50 and some change) it was delicious. The chicken came with salsa, tortillas. The delivery was super fast too. We ordered at 550 and the food was at my door at 611.

I called the restaurant to please the order and they said it would be ready in 20 minutes. But when I get there the door was locked before their closing time. They saw me through the door and refused to open it for me to pick up. It’s the third time they do this where they tell me a time to pick it up and they end up locking the doors on me and not letting me pick up my order.

It used to be great, not anymore. The waitress was on the phone almost 20min. When I wanted to order to go. When I got my order, it looked like they did it all fast just to get me out of there. It was cold and all bones. Not chicken at all. When before, you would actually get the whole chicken and alot of sides. They are getting cheaper and cheaper. The taste is great but poor customer service.

This juicy, well-seasoned chicken, which I chose in the red color, and the fact that the chips aren’t greasy, along with the roasted peppers and both salsas, are what made me think I had fallen in love. Since this is Chicago’s best roast chicken, I’ll return. Congratulations!
