Love this place! I only get one thing….the Original Pollo Bowl for $5, sometimes I make it a combo (chips or tortillas and a drink) which is only $2 more. Best deal in town BY FAR! Nice people, I go there at least twice a week. I wouldn’t call it fast food because they grill the chicken, it’s not like you’re buying something thawed out and served from a microwave.

I come here to pick up food for my brother who has severe autism and he is used to routine, so I don’t really have a choice on which foods he prefers to eat. When I order through the app and come to this location, the person at the drive-thru understands everything you are saying, but then whenever there is a pickup order and you say your name he gets it wrong and repeats a disrespectful word that rhymes with it on purpose. I have made long detailed orders without using the app and have made modifications like “no pico de gallo, no onions, extra cilantro” to orders and not once was that misheard or an error made when it came to communication. The drive thru employee with the support of Carlos the Manager at this location enjoy harassing customers when it comes to your name and identity. This has happened several times to me now and the Manager working at this location – again named Carlos- has not stopped it. Store Number #3482 and address 1090 S White Rd, San Jose, CA 95127. They know my brother has autism and have seen him sitting next to me in the passenger seat at times when I come here, but they still do not care or have any empathy, professionalism or respect anyone that invests in them and buys their food. This has happened several times and that is why I had to inform the public of what happens here. They will hear everything fine, but get your name wrong intentionally. The fact that this type of harassment is allowed in the year 2026 is an extreme disappointment and more people need to speak up about the immoral beings that exist in this World that get a temporary power trip from saying your name wrong without facing any consequences.

I go Loco for El Pollo Loco when I’m feeling that chicken craving. Other places just don’t do it as good as El Pollo Loco when it comes to chicken. The grilled chicken is just perfection. Other items are also good but the chicken in their burritos, tacos, and taco salads isn’t as good as the standalone grilled chicken. Often it is too burnt or straight up charred like charcoal briquettes. Even so, you can’t go wrong if you’re looking for good fast casual.

Ordered chicken nachos, got a handful of chips, no cheese. A sprinkle of beans and a bit of guacamole and sour cream. Slapped in the corner. I’m not expecting gourmet, but some cheese and I don’t know chicken, looking like the picture seems reasonable .

I go through the drive-thru.. am asked
to wait.. that wait turns into 5 minutes..
Ok.. they’re probably busy.. meanwhile..
I had put in that order 10 minutes ago.
I’m told my order isn’t ready yet.
No problem. I pull around & am told
I have to go inside to pick it up because
it’s not ready yet. There was no one
behind me in the drive-thru that you could
rationalize why I’m being asked to
leave the drive-thru. When I point
that out.. I’m told that their timer
is going. So.. in other words.. they’ll
look bad for having someone wait
too long & the solution is to
inconvenience me even more.. after
I’m being patient for not having
my order ready on time?
