I had to come leave a review because I was honestly surprised in the best way by El Pollo Loco’s salads. I tried the Bacon Ranch Chicken Salad with double pollo, and wow… it was life-changing.
The chicken was perfectly seasoned and flame-grilled (you can really taste that fresh, smoky flavor), the portions were generous, and everything tasted crisp and fresh — not like your typical fast food salad at all. Adding double pollo made it super filling and packed with protein, so it felt like a full, satisfying meal instead of something light that leaves you hungry later.
The bacon, ranch, and chicken combo together? Absolute perfection. Flavorful, hearty, and still fresh. It hit that balance of comfort food + healthy choice.
Definitely my new go-to when I want something quick but still delicious and nourishing. Highly recommend trying it!

As a loyal fan of this restaurant,I find it tastier than their other locations,I wanted to share an important concern. I noticed that stainless steel pans are lined with large plastic bags before placing hot food inside. As someone with years of experience in the food industry, I can say this is not allowed under the California Retail Food Code (§114095, §114141, §114143), which requires all food-contact surfaces to be food-grade, non-toxic, and heat-safe. A health inspector would likely cite this as a violation. I hope the owner addresses this quickly so the restaurant can continue to serve great food safely.

Sent my husband to pick up my food and it wasn’t fresh at all!!! The chicken was sooo old, dry and burnt. It was like burnt charcol the bones were literally dry idk how old that chicken was?! The mashed potatoes were really cold and different temperatures all over the mac & cheese was lukewarm. The beans in the street corn pollo bowl tasted left out. Picked up at almost 2pm. They need a manager asap doing checking temperatures logs and quality control. I gave the chicken that was somewhat salvageable to the cat. Whe I got home I just trashed it and ate the cold mac & cheese and mashed potatoes. The loco salads and the burritos were alright….I guess.

I came here made a purchase. The machine said payment failed. And the money was taken out of my account. When I told the employee this she stated I don’t see so you have to call your bank and dispute it. I showed her that I took it out of my account and she didn’t care. Also stole my points.

Someone urinated in the hallway causing an old lady to almost trip and fall. A homeless person in the restaurant smelled really bad and left a strong smell of urine and feces whenever he walked around the restaurant. It was difficult to enjoy my meal and the location left a lot to be desired in terms of cleanliness and security. The food was okay.

Yea never going back to this place nor my family place was disgusting kids behind the register with bad attitude when one of the costumers complained the
Y tought it was joke the the gentleman complained about the restrooms being dirty and ll the trash on the floor, the had the nerve to say “go ahead take pictures” I wonder what would of happened if the health inspector would walked in in all the filth 5 guys behind the registers and not one able to clean. Also the salsa bar they have is disgusting as well really dirty.

I literally saw the manager Joseph Perez scratch his nose and then bare hand touch the chicken. He didn’t even wash his hands. I use to love coming here now I feel like barfing.

Stay away! I understand inflation has taken a toll on everything but these large chain businesses only use it as an excuse for their own profit benefit. A week ago I came here and ordered a family meal with 8 piece chicken. What I got was about 8 pieces of what looked like miniature chicken. 7elevena wings were bigger than the chicken I had received. I thought, maybe I just got a small chicken, bad luck, right. Well today I order some nachos and we’ll, I’ll let the picture do the talking. I think you get more meat from a street taco than what they put on this plate. Old guacamole already turning black. Shame on the manager handling this place for allowing this to be representative of what normally is a decent fast food alternative. Drive the extra miles, your wallet and stomach will appreciate it, trust me!

I dined in and received cold guacamole asked the lady for a new one and saw her go in the back and give me the same one with a smile on her face dipped my spoon in it and it was frozen solid dont eat her food is sitting in their freezer.

I really never complain about food in fact I don’t think I ever have until now. I just left El pollo loco I ordered a simple pollo bowl instead I got a bowl full of rice and beans very little meat I asked for hi-c they gave me an orange soda ?
