Really bad experience. No salsa available. And they served me a water down pollo bowl. This is the worst pollo bowl I have received. Full of water and half way.

I did ask for dine-in, but takeout box was ok. I only had to wait 13 minutes from order to receiving my food. The cup lids were placed away from the drink fountain, which doesn’t make sense.
PRO-tip: DO NOT enter off Mountainview Ave. That parking is for Di-No computers, and they set up a plastic chain barrier to prevent El Pollo Loco customers parking on their side. If you’re trying to access the Drive-Thru, just move up a bit closer to the El Pollo Loco entrance, and you’re good.

Normally I love El Pollo Loco. However this store in East Pasadena is below par. It is very small and crowded during lunch time. So small in fact that trying to get to the condiment bar is a battle. The condiment bar was a mess with salsa all over the place. When I got my 2 piece breast and wing combo I noticed that the breast was the smallest I have ever received in this chain. Very disappointing. Note to management, either redo this store to make it work better or just close it. In the future I will go to the store in Alhambra which is larger and better run.

Wow, the lady at the drive through just moments ago had some attitude, even some hostility. I’ve used the drive through in the last year or so, and there’s a really helpful guy with a positive attitude. Must be his night off. One more thing, she had such an anger and sketchiness to her that I just kept thinking, did she do anything to the food? I can’t see myself going back.

Worst location ever. I don’t usually eat at this locations because the brand is pretty delicious for fast food. But, I came here for something they advertise. Their birria box. I got a burrito. Which I asked for sour cream on the side. And a classic tostada. And drinks.
So let’s review the burrito. It was good of course it’s advertised and the flavor is there. But I asked for sour cream on the side. I’ve never mix it up like that. So it wasn’t my preference. Unfortunately they still added sour cream, and on top of adding sour cream to the food, they gave it to me on the side. This place really lacks communication. And if there was an issue and the employee misunderstood me, he could very well clear it up or repeat the order as usual.
Next I got a salad . The classic tostada. Which unfortunately, barely had any rice and beans. It had a huge handful of lettuce. The chicken was stale and cold. It was hard. It just had many corner pieces of burt charr. Not the good kind.
The bitter, nasty dry chalky kind.
Luckily I’m a fan of the cilantro sauce so I had dumped all that sauce on this nasty , sad of a meal , tostada salad. And it definitely gave it the flavor.
I didn’t eat all day, so when I got my salad, I was expecting freshness. There was no Pico de Gallo. No color. No love. There was just a sad, depressing salad. As if I had the fault of someone’s unhappiness. This location doesn’t have the restaurant qualities as other locations. I guarantee I will never come to this location. I do not recommend it.
Ps. The picture I took I had already eaten . But there lacks ingredients and the lack of rice and beans is sad. I may have eaten about 8 beans total! And perhaps a tablespoon of rice . If that. ! So sad…

Double check your orders if you go through drive thru . Every time I go there, they forget a side or a drink. I think this pollo loco is purposely making extra money by charging people for items they don’t get to take home.

We’ll start off with the restaurant was very clean. And the food cooking smelled delicious. The staff is pleasant and helpful fast and efficient. The chicken is fresh, not pre-cooked. We got a family meal, 12 pieces of chicken with 3 large sides . Picked this all up to have lunch with my sister. Lunch for 4 , under $50.00 can’t get much better than this.
