While some things have changed over the last few decades, El Pollo Loco’s delivery of fresh, authentic food has not. Everything starts with whole chickens that are slowly marinated in a special recipe of herbs, spices, fruit juices and garlic. The chicken is then expertly fire-grilled to perfection the authentic way – on our signature open-flame grills – then hand cut into your favorite Mexican entrees. We put that same dedication and care into our handmade guacamole, salsas and dressings every day. At El Pollo Loco in Bullhead City, AZ, we believe that when real food meets real fire the result is great taste that will keep you coming back again and again.

We ate there the second night after opening and our order was incorrect. That was understandable given how new and busy they were.
Unfortunately, we just ordered again through DoorDash and had another issue. We ordered the new Fan Feast meal, and it arrived with zero condiments and no salad dressing at all.
I called the restaurant to explain and asked if they could simply make the order right by sending the missing items. I was told that wasn’t possible. The only options offered were for us to drive down to the restaurant ourselves or accept a refund. When I agreed to the refund, I was then asked what exactly they would refund, implying only the condiments.
The issue isn’t gas or distance. The issue is time and accountability.
If we had time to drive down and fix the order ourselves, we wouldn’t have ordered DoorDash in the first place. We’re busy professionals, and when an order is incomplete, the expectation is that the restaurant makes it right without putting the burden back on the customer.
Missing condiments and dressings may seem small, but for a meal built around them, it matters. More importantly, how issues are handled matters even more.
I hope as this location settles in, they improve their processes for delivery orders and customer resolution.
There were bags of food that people weren’t picking up. The bathroom had a horrible odor and no mirror which would have been nice in the ladies room and the atmosphere is cold and dingy.
Really would have loved to have tried the food. They were insanely busy in the back. There were people in the front waiting but it seemed like the people that work there. Really not sure about what they were doing. Very disappointing. So we went next door to the other restaurant and got waited on.
