Well we got there about 7:00pm on Sunday and the dine-in was closed strike one. Then reluctantly we get in the drive-thru line only to find they had no thighs or legs strike two and three. Now, strike two and three sounded like they just didn’t want to do their job. Can’t believe they didn’t have the main ingredients. Luckily Red Robin was open and we’re having a great meal.

El Pollo has always been one of my favorites of all time but not all locations are alike. This one is better than most places that I’ve been to and luckily it’s super closed to my house so I come here a lot. I simply love their chicken, never get tired of it. Went through the drive the thru about 3 weeks apart, one time on a Saturday about lunch time and today ( Sunday) about 5:30. Both times I tried to order the daily meal, basically 10 pieces of chicken and some sides. Both times the person on the other end of the speaker said they don’t have “chicken on the bone” available, but I could wait 40 minutes! We really enjoy el pollo loco usually, but come on 40 minutes???

I had the 2 can done for $10 coupon. I was told in checkout that there were no churros available (part of the coupon) and that nothing could be substituted for those. I thought that was ridiculous but decided to order anyway. The other item I wanted (crispy tacos) were also not available. I got the food and later realized on of the salads was missing and the one we did have had no dressing (just some plain iceberg lettuce in a bowl). Before, it had a cilantro dressing, for instance.
