I came to this location, I ordered inside. I had to wait 5 minutes for them to take my order. They were busy with other orders. No problem, they were nice to me. Food was good! Like I remember Pollo Loco was when they first opened in California. I will return for sure!

As I was going through the drive-through, the lady said something over the intercom. I couldn’t hear her so I said I can’t hear you. She then started yelling with an attitude. Then placed my order and she said we don’t do that order anymore. Then I asked for a manager and this lady came on intercom said the same thing which I knew they were lying cause I just ordered that same plate two days prior then when I went to the drive-through window, I asked for the manager and this guy said I am the manager. I said where’s the lady that I was talking to it that was a manager and he said there’s no lady manager here. Terrible customer service lies and misleading.

My husband and I recently moved to West Valley City. We love the tacos at El Pollo Loco and were excited to be so close to this location. The food is tasty but I am not a fan of going inside and being ignored because all the attention is given to the drive-thru customers. This has happened twice now. It also frustrates us to be number 274 and to wait for 30 minutes for a couple tacos and see people who came in after us numbers 278 and 279 get their food before us. It was 95 degrees outside but the temperature inside felt like 60 degrees. We didn’t have a jacket or sweater and we were so cold. Everyone standing around waiting and waiting for their food complained about how cold it was in there as well as the long wait for their food. We are no longer excited about eating here. I hope the owners put more effort into serving the people dining inside. It is obvious the staff doesn’t show much interest.

My husband went back to this El Pollo Loco about a month after my first review was written. He ordered his food to go and came home. He took a bite of his taco and pulled out a long piece of plastic from his mouth. We are done giving this place a chance to get things right. Sadly, we will not be returning again.

I am in the area because work I order from here delivery. The delivery was pretty quick. I order 2 churros, 1 chicken thigh, taco combo and shrimp taco. The food was very cold which makes me believe was not fresh. Shrimps were overcooked and too much coleslaw , churos were ok , chicken thigh bearly any meat and cold and the tacos the chicken tasted weird. So for a pollo asado place is not good. But now a days restaurant don’t care for quality. No way I am sending my truckdriver fellows

This Pollo needs more training or better management. So we eat at Pollo at least once a week as we travel the US and their Tostado needs work. First there was barley any beans and rice. Maybe a tablespoon of each, and the rest was lettuce. We requested and paid for guacamole and when we opened them at the hotel, no guacamole. Do better.

I had a very disappointing and concerning experience at this restaurant 9/9/2025. I was overcharged by more than $8, and when I questioned it, both the manager and the customer service representative gave me vague and unconvincing explanations—claiming it was due to taxes. That simply doesn’t add up, especially since my food total was only $17.
To make matters worse, they didn’t even provide a food ticket or itemized receipt, which made it harder to verify the charges. I felt like they were trying to avoid accountability.
I strongly urge the restaurant owners to investigate this situation and review how transactions are being handled at this location. When you pay with a card, it’s frustrating to realize that the amount charged may not reflect what you actually ordered—and that you have no immediate control over it.
I hope this review encourages more transparency and accountability moving forward. I will be thinking twice before returning.

As a professional driver I rarely get the chance to experience fine dining… but as this is my first time witnessing the genius that this establishment is, I’d say this is the best place to go, when you want to feel like home, “looks like Abuela just got some competition!” Cha!

So first time coming here and hearing about how incredible the food was… this place was amazing !!! The restaurant itself was just surgically clean the whole atmosphere of this restaurant is just awesome!!! The general manager whose name is Tere took our order and let the magic begin My Wife and I both had the Tacos Al Carbon and they were so delicious,they make you want more…I also ordered the Baja Shrimp tacos and talk about “off the chain”…the kids had the mac n cheese chicken taco meals and they loved them …Tere even gave us a sample of their soon to be world famous grilled chicken and it was the best I’ve ever tasted so factor in a salsa bar that is only short of perfect and you have a gourmet experience that will leave you needing a nap or and that’s why I’m giving El Pollo Loco a High Five Star Rating

This was first time to this location in and never again. Waited ten minutes just for them to take an order through drive through and nobody in front of me. Get my food and it’s like shoe leather…absolutely terrible. I’m pretty easy going and understand not everything you order is as expected but this tops the charts couldn’t even chew the chicken!!
