The Baseline
The Baseline: For a Peruvian restaurant, the four traditional staples (corn, potatoes, beans, grains/rice) must be represented along with the three traditional meats (chicken, beef, pork), the preparation must accentuate the flavors, and must represent the Peruvian cuisine.
Food: I come here for loom Saltado and that is usually the only thing I want. It is a very good at El Polo Inca (I am not coming here for the chicken which is also good). The plantains are always an awesome. We also had the Chaufa de Pollo was the tasty chicken application.
Service: Had a great waitress and service the night we came in. Water glass was filled up.
Atmosphere: It is a nice franchise in a nice area but it is small compared to the main Torrance location. There are some wall scuffs around the booth.

I have been coming to this pollo inka since I was about 5 years old ! Everyone that works there feels like family ! The food is the best quality and large portions! It’s always a tough choice what to pick because everything is so great and fresh! I moved to Arizona now but every time I come to town it’s my first and last stop ! I can never get enough !

El Pollo Inka in Hermosa Beach is an easy go-to spot for good, solid Peruvian food. It’s been around for a while and keeps things consistent — nothing fancy, just good flavors and a chill setup. The rotisserie chicken is what they’re known for, and it definitely lives up to it — tender, well-seasoned, and pairs perfectly with their green sauce if you can handle some spice. I also tried the ceviche mixto and arroz con mariscos — both were fresh and full of flavor without being too heavy. The place itself is clean and comfortable, and the service is friendly but not overbearing. Prices are fair, and portions are solid, so you’ll probably leave with leftovers. Overall, it’s a dependable spot if you’re craving Peruvian food in the South Bay — relaxed vibe, good flavors, and you know what you’re getting each time.

Went here with the family to try out some Peruvian food for the first time. We thought that the food was pretty tasty and the chicken was spiced just right. The ceviche was just okay as I wasn’t used to the lemony flavours. The garlic rice was just so tasty. Yum. The kids loved it as well.

Great food and festive atmosphere. We came into get food to go and they had live music and every one was enjoying the sounds. The food is nothing short of what you love about Peruvian cuisine, spices, flavor and tender meats. With many options for meat, seafood and veggie it’s a great lunch or dinner spot in the area. Having only two meals here I know I will enjoy many more when I go back. Definitely visit on the weekend nights for the festive music!

We had an excellent meal here. Honestly stumbled on it stopping for something at the store next door, we decided to give it a try. All of our meals were delicious, I had the carne combinado, and I highly recommend the cilantro chicken soup. Roxanna, our waitress, was very friendly and answered a ton of questions we had about the food, and Peruvian food in general. Very reasonable prices, healthy sized portions, good beer and wine selections too.

This place has always been our go-to for great Peruvian food. Generally everything is fresh and tasty. We are especially fans of the Aji de Gallina. Some of the best in the city.
Recently, though, I had a bad experience with the dish tasting very rancid. Had to send the dish back. Luckily, the staff were extremely professional and accommodating about it. They were apologetic and politely replaced our meals. The replacements were good.
Overall, a great spot. Would recommend.
