I’vebren going to fritangas my whole life. This has to literally be the worse one in all of Miami. Definitely competing with the one on Quail roost. First and last time I’m eating here. Old gallo pinto, carne asada poorly cooked, queso frito or better said over cooked rubber in old grease…..montelimar and monimbo are worth the drive (30 mins away)

I wasn’t planning on eating here but saw the place and decided to try it. First of all there are no prices anywhere, so you have to ask for the price of everything. Rice was hard and dry. The fried cheese was like a rubber and it was 1.75 the piece, plus it was cold. My son left the food completely, he said he wasn’t enjoying it. The total for the food you see in the pics was more or less $27. The arroz con leche was fine. The enchilada was really good but it was kind of cold. So I had to take it home to heat it up and finally eat it. So first time and last time there.

Nicaraguan food. All food is well cooked and tastes like a home made meal. Good food, fair prices in general and really big portions. One order easily feeds two adults. Small yet quaint, friendly staff and option to dine-in is available. Have brought the family twice here and expect to be back again soon.

(Post Covd19) I have since returned and everything was on par with my 1st and 2nd visit. Cleanliness was their priority and everything in the restaurant looked and smelled clean. Keep up the great work!

As someone who is from Nicaragua and has had food from many different Fritangas this is by far the worst I have ever had. The gallo pinto was hard, the meat was hard, the cheese was hard! I don’t understand. And don’t even get me started with the salad that is a bite (one teaspoon full). Honestly do not recommend on going. It’s not worth the price.

Food is great & very consistent w their flavor. Service is great.
Only reason i give them 4 starts. According to them, Chimichurri is only for churrasco. Perhaps the ONLY fritanga in Miami with that mentality. Food is great and i still go back.

I wasn’t going to leave a review, I first called them and explained how bad the food was but it seemed like they’re use to it. They didn’t seemed concerned or offered to make it right so I decided to look online and there’s all the complaints just as I experienced. So I decided a review is a must to back up the previous post. I hate for someone to have this same experience. I ordered 5 meals of carne asada with queso frito. The rice was old, hard and smelled a bit sour. Meat and queso frito were hard and tasted old. Had to trash 3 out 5 of them. Paid $87.56 and it’s definitely not worth it. I’ve visited many Fritangas and they’re great! Unfortunately not this one. Feel bad since the server was nice. That’s why I gave 3 stars to the service. Food does not deserve one star.

Just passed by and saw this place. There are few customers when we got here and now, I understand why. Portions were very small, and quality is not good. Meats are dry and burnt and even the rice is hard. Who would love to eat such things? Carne asada don’t look like carne asada.

Service is HORRIBLE and RUDE! The lady serving had the audacity to say “because you were in the phone you made a mistake”, which for the record, I had not made a mistake ordering. She then proceeded to “throw” the pieces of meat in the container which caused everything to be spilled and messy. When I asked to speak w the owner she said she didn’t care. The food does NOT taste like Nicaraguan food as the gallo pinto isn’t cooked properly so it doesn’t taste like it should. The white rice was hard, taste partially uncooked. The meat is flavorless.. But I think I could have tolerated all that if it wasn’t t for the horrible service.

Rice was dry and hard in the gallo pinto, carne desmenuzada was mid. Being from Nicaragua this was extremely overpriced and the portions are small, will not be back. Go to Sweetwater and you will find better Nicaraguan cuisine elsewhere.
