Went last night with my Grandmother, staff were polite and on the quieter side, which I enjoyed. Food was awesome, we both loved it, I got the Burritos deluxe.
Something I particularly liked was that the drink cups were really big, like closer to a 30 Oz cup, so the waiters don’t have to stop by as frequently for refills, and you’re never sitting on an empty cup.
The chips are great, unsalted so you can salt them to your liking, and the salsa is not spicy AT ALL so if you cant handle spice, it’s still nice. They provide you with hot sauce anyways, so you can spice it up a little if you like that sort of thing.
Overall a very nice experience, I’m looking forward to going again, it’s nice to have a decent sit down Mexican restaurant in such a small town.

El Patron is a great spot in Greentown to grab lunch. The restaurant was clean, with bright welcoming decor. The chips and salsa were delicious. The ice water was very cold and refreshing (a lot of places don’t have good ice water). I ordered the Speedy Gonzalez lunch special, and it was tasty and fresh, and the portions were great for the price. The service was good, friendly and attentive.

The service and food was too notch. I enjoyed my molcajete thoroughly, although I didn’t know I was ordering it. I thought I was getting fajitas for 2. Only knock on the atmosphere was the noise level, sound carries in there.

Update: As locals, we’re done with this place. Twice now my wife and I both ordered Nachos Patron for carry out. The prices were WAY TOO HIGH, then the tip screen pops up for carry out so you guilt tip anyway. Before the immense buyers remorse disappointment of the price wears off, you get home to find BOTH nachos BOTH times(That’s four Nachos El Patron) have about a 1/4 of a cup or more of a white liquid in them the consistency of WATER! Most of the chips are soggy and disgusting because of this. There’s a LOT of restaurants lately raising prices exuberantly and providing worse and worse quality and this is one of them. We’re about done eating out period, and especially here. Between getting nachos with sour cream when we ordered no sour cream(previous review) and now FOUR expensive soggy nachos, it’s time to accept this is just how they do business and not a one off accident.
Old Review: Check your carry out orders! Not discovered until we got home a few miles away. Wife told them twice “No sour cream please”. I’m Allergic to dairy so it had to go in the trash. So here I am making grilled cheese while the other 3 family members eat a nice dinner. They like their food. Me, I wouldn’t know.

My son and I went here for the first time for a mother and son dinner. Staff was very welcoming. Food was amazing. A very good size menu to pick from. We will definitely be going back again.

El Patron has great food, with great prices. We go at least once a week, sometimes more. Servers treat you like family, not unheard of to see one of them giving a hug to a regular. If you haven’t tried one of their margarita’s you’re missing out they are amazing. Food is hot and fresh. Free chips and salsa! Dinning room is bright and colorful. If you’re reading this wondering if you should try it out, the answer is YES!
