Updated review: This place is fantastic! The service is great, always fast and friendly. We came back for our second Sunday in a row and this will become a regular place to visit for us. The Seafood El Patron and The Diablo burrito are delicious! The burrito portions are large enough to share or take home and reheat as leftovers. Highly recommend!!!
Previous review: I got my order to-go and was unimpressed with the Yolanda enchiladas, the chicken was dry and they didn’t have much flavor. However, the rice and beans were fantastic and I got to enjoy my husbands leftover spicy burrito and it was delicious! I would give this place another try and maybe order something different for my meal.

It’s a hit and miss. The food is incredible and on point. Always friendly and attentive.
Today was great all around. Although there wasn’t many customers. Food was good and the service was attentive.

The people here are great, no complaints there!
You should plan $15-$20 per adult.
The chips are awful. Stale, bland, and no real substance to them.
The Horchata was super watery, and not good at all.
The food was average.. presentation and sizes are great, but the food itself is bland and lacks flavor.
This place could be awesome, but they need to add some flavor to the food.

We went there on a Friday night and ordered two chimichangas. Mine was ground beef, my girlfriend ordered steak. Both of our chimichangas were drenched in grease and the rice was very greasy. She took a couple bites and couldn’t finish eating it because of how greasy it was. My ground beef tasted old, almost like corned hash. Later Friday night, we both experienced diarrhea and my girlfriend was up puking. We won’t be coming back.

Camarones A La Diabla was delicious! Very friendly staff and very attentive to us even though we were the only table outside. Food was very good and so were the margaritas! I like that they give you warm chips, salsa, and spicy dip when you sit down. Kids were big fans of the queso fundido, was a sweet queso and not spicy, unique and yummy.

My favorite for sit down Mexican in sun prairie. Wish the margarita wasn’t a mix though. Staff is always pleasant and food is delicious. The outdoor seating is great in warm weather. The chimi-cheescake hit the spot after a great dinner.

Staff was absolutely wonderful! I’d give them 6 stars if I could. They were very attentive and took care of any little need I required. I’ve never had such spectacular service! I can’t wait to have an excuse to be in that area again so I can pay them a visit. Great food! Very filling. I could barely finish it. I hope to try everything on the menu at least once. Based on the dishes I’ve had so far, absolutely phenomenal!

I only gave this place 2 stars because :
the good :
staff are friendly and helpful and the chips and salsa were delicious… as was the Horchata…
The bad:
What is the white cup of dipping sauce for chips? Tasted like a ranch dip they use at Taco bell, very random..
Our meals werent the best tasting, the enchiladas salsa almost had no taste to it and the rice tasted like it was old.
The carne asada steak didnt taste like it was typical skirt steak and tasted more like a piece of round steak, very dry..
The outside appearance isn’t the best and couldn’t tell if it was open or not on a Saturday at noon with no cars in the driveway besides the ones on side of the building.

We used to love this place when we first moved to the area, but granted that was 10 years ago. We decided to eat here recently after not being here for a while. It was awful. Started out with bad service which should have been a sign to leave. Tables that came in after us were getting chips and salsa and having their drink orders taken while we just sat there being ignored. Finally they brought us some chips but dropped it quick and left. I had to flag down a waitress to ask for water. The food- the chips were so so greasy. Actually everything we ordered was swimming in grease, even the rice which ironically was dry at the same time. Oil pooled underneath. I used to like their salsa but it’s lacking flavor now. It may be a small thing but the icing on the cake for the night is when my husband asked for corn tortillas (choice of corn or flour included in the meal) and they brought flour. They did eventually bring the corn tortillas and charged us for it…
