Excellent food, serves most authentic mexican fare. Interior is charming and simple, and dine-in is self serve. Ask for a menu to see more than just the top items on display. Staff is bingual, but items are labelled and rung up in spanish. This is not an issue as items are visually identifiable, and again the staff is wonderful and helpful. Best mexican I’ve had in a while here in MD, and the carne asada was fantastic: tender, fresh, juicy. I have a dairy allergy and they were quick to accomodate. Their prices are a little high at about $20 a head, but the portions are large and the food is of top quality. Highly recommended!

Tried to give this place a chance as I just moved to the neighborhood. Ordered a carne asada quesadilla to go, once I got to the restaurant, they had no idea about me placing an order on the phone. Also the woman at the counter could barely understand me. There was another gentleman picking up his food, she told him to go home and take a picture of his order, then come back, after he’d been sitting in there 10 minutes trying to figure things out. Once I actually got the food, the flavor was good, but the beef tasted cheap and chewy, with plenty of fat and cartilage. There’s also a microwave in the kitchen which is a big sign of cutting corners. 13 dollars for a cheap steak quesadilla is not great for repeat business. Honestly, I would avoid this place, there are much better mexican restaurants in the area.

Quaint space just off the beltway. Very easy to get to and a bit of a secret it seems. In the time I was here quite a few people came in for takeout orders. They have about 6 tables. The reason I say it’s a bit of a secret is because there’s no way people know how good the food is because there should be a line outside. I’ve been here about five times in three weeks. So far my faves are the barria ,, Jamaican fresh water and the shredded chicken nachos. Someone else had the with ground beef and said they didn’t care for it. I’ve also had the fajitas with & shrimp which is also delicious. Today there was only server helping with the the three tables and various takeout orders. If it get any busier I can imagine there will be some delays in service. Based on my experiences I would rate this place 4.8 of five on food, 4.2 on service and 3.7 on atmosphere. It could use an update. Thanks El Patron. I’ll definitely be back.

If I could give them 0 stars I would. They don’t cook their food all the way. I got Salmonella don’t order from here! I used to order often from here in 2025 until my food started being not cooked all the way in 2026. This is very recent and on going! It happened twice smh

Worst Mexican Resturant Ive been to. They were using a microwave in the back. I just wasted my money. Order a Burrito echilada taco and nacho supreme. Along with rice and beans. My Burrito was skinner than my echilada, the chicken they used had no flavor, the nachos were cold with no salt or seasoning the chicken was the worst part of the meal. Oh and the Burrito had nothing but dry chicken in it. Nothing else. This is by far the worst experience of 2025. Which is upsetting because i spent good money on this.

I drive by this place almost everyday but today was my 1st time ordering. I ordered the shredded taco salad it was delicious I was disappointed with the size I had never seen a taco salad that small. The prices are different than what they have on the menu at 2.00. They should update their prices although they are not bad my taco salad should have been the 9.99 because of the size. I will visit again I’d like to try the nachos. Not bad at all

Good hole in the wall sorta place. A few tables in front of small storefront. Beef Tacos Barilla were amazing. Lot of food too. Basically braised (moist) beef cubes smooshed into a taco and served with a consume dipping sauce from the braising. Usually cilantro and raw onion is added. Yum.
