Moving to SC from AZ my family and I were looking for an authentic Mexican restaurant. We decided to try El Patron. The atmosphere was perfect. The service was great. The food was just as good as Mexican food you find in AZ. The chimichangas were smaller here than we’re use to but the flavors were on point. The only little set back we had was when our waiter brought out a shrimp chimi rather than a steak one as requested (I’m allergic). Once we told him I didn’t order that he quickly took it back and brought back the correct kind. I would highly recommend it to any westerners that have transplanted out here in the beautiful East to go try El Patrons. My family and I will be back.

On October 20,2025, I placed a take out order around 40 minutes prior to closing. I order shrimp tacos with corn tortilla, queso, + cilantro. A side of slice of avocado. Once I paid the $18, I went home and opened my bag … I was shocked to see this. My tortilla was cold , plain tacos with a side of cilantro & lime .. but no queso .. my slice of avocado seems to be going old. My chips were stale. For $18 .. this is truly unacceptable .. since I trusted my food was going to be prepared how I asked, I didn’t think to check my food.. but I was proved wrong.

I had the queso dip as an appetizer, and the veggie fajita as an entree. My drink was the “el musico”. Everything was delicious and the portions are enormous. Got plenty leftover for the next day. Towards the end, we talked to one of the servers who was really friendly. He then brought us “gasoline” shots, which were really good!
Definitely recommend this place and will come back soon!

My daughter and I have lunch here at least once a month, and it’s always a treat. We love the outdoor seating while the weather’s still nice—it’s such a relaxing spot. The staff is incredibly friendly, and the food is not only delicious but beautifully presented. Honestly, the plates are so pretty you’ll want to snap a photo before digging in.
And let’s talk about the margaritas—they don’t just have one! There are several to choose from, and every one we’ve tried has been fantastic. Highly recommend this place for great food, drinks, and a welcoming atmosphere!

I ordered chicken and steak fajitas it was hot and fresh. Great amount of food. I have a lot left over. The delivery came hot and fast. I enjoyed it.

So I have been going here for over 1 year. First time getting take out and will NEVER order take out again. All the food was cold, except the appetizer of wings. Ordered 3 combo, rice, chicken & beef taco.. it was all cold and saugy hard shell tacos. Kids pizza, cold. Carne taco, luke warm. Cheese dip, cold. Those wings were hot though, almost like the kitchen forgot about them, so we got cold food because wings took so long. I have NEVER disliked this restaurant before. They wernt busy, Sunday night. Got there about 6 minutes before we walked out with the order so it is not like we arrived late. I will never order take out again. If you want this restaurant, eat in.. I’ve never had an issue eating in. Just dont order take out. I only live about 5 minutes away, so it didnt get cold from a drive home either. Very disappointing.

Ordered online, picked up and after one bite it went in the trash. Cold, soggy and not what o ordered. Beef was anything but no beef. It was disgusting. Can’t believe I had to pay $40. even worse then Taco Bell. Ordered no beans in any dish, got beans in every dish. Thanks for nothing but a allergic reaction

El patron is one of my top favorite Mexican restaurants! Salsa options are great! Tacos are delicious! Staff is super friendly! Fresh veggies! Street corn is a 10 out of 10!
