My friend and I dined in at El Patron on August 3rd to get food and drinks. We ordered the margarita flight. I chose raspberry, strawberry, peach, and original flavors and my friend chose raspberry, strawberry, peach, and mango. We tested all the flavors and liked each one, both stating that the peach one tasted sour. We ordered our food and carried on with our conversation. We ate our food, which was the only good part of our experience, and continued drinking our drinks. My friend began to mix her peach margarita and noticed something dark floating at the bottom. She assumed it was the drink settling but then pulled a piece of gray slime (mold) from the bottom of her drink. She pulled several pieces of that out of her drink. We waited over an hour for our waitress to come check on us (we were in the restaurant for over 2 and a half hours) to address what was pulled out of her drink. The waitress said that she would get the bartender over to address what it was. It took the bartender 10-15 minutes to come over to us (he was talking with people at the bar which is apart of the job but was standing beside the people and not behind the bar) and grabbed what we assumed was a manager with him. They said it had to have been meat or beans. Excuse me? Either way, that should not have been in the bottom of a mixed drink. Offered no apology and we finally received the checks. Her margarita flight was comped and I was still charged for mine. It was so hard to actually receive service that we were so fed up and had to leave after paying. This used to be the Mexican restaurant to go to 10+ years ago when they first opened. Every single time we have been in the last year there has been an issue and it is so sad. Pictures are attached of what was pulled out of the drink and the comparison of the same drink and the color difference (the contaminated drink was poured into another glass to make sure nothing else was left in the drink).

I came here weekly for about two years .. can y’all please explain what happened to the yellow rice and WHAT IS THIS? I never seen this at a Mexican restaurant. Aside from this my orders have been wrong the past few months — it’s time to find a new spot.

I was excited that we were going to El Patron. I should of known that it wouldn’t be the best experience when we got a basket full of Broken chips..( which are very hard to dip in the cheese dip…I did however like the new Menu as the Carnitas Burrito was awesome. But he care of putting it on the plate Just wasn’t there.

I ordered the quesabirria tacos and they were I usually order my usual chicken/shrimp quesadilla with rice and beans and I decided to go with something different this time and I am very glad that I tried their tacos. I will definitely be back again and they make some nice margaritas as well!

I have now been here three times and also ordered from door dash. I absolutely love this restaurant. The chips and salsa that you get when you sit down are amazing. I have yet to have a bad meal here. The parking lot is always full, but I’ve never had to wait for a table! The drinks are great and there’s always a good special that changes every night of the week. The ceviche is really good as well! Great go to for a week night dinner!

Today was the first time in a while we went back to El Patron and it was a pleasant surprise to see the “new look” the menu us new as well. Drinks were pretty good had a couple different ones I tried the platano relleno it caught my attention because is not a common dish and was very good.
