i don’t ever write reviews but this place is so bad its laughable. DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY HERE! They clearly are telling their people to write them good reviews because the food is trash. greasy, no flavor, tough chewy meat. Their star dish is a joke. NEVER getting machetes or tacos from here again. not to mention the hideous decor, passive aggressive waiters and long wait time. The only way you’ll like it here is if ur close to blackout drunk i assume lol.

This is a great place! We came here to celebrate my step daughter’s birthday. The food was delicious and our server was excellent and very attentive. There was live music and the band that was playing was called the Latin Swing Factor and everyone was dancing. They played a mixture of Latin and soul music which was uniquely different for a Chicago band. Everyone was having a great time dancing especially when DJ Prieto starting jamming. He had the dance floor packed. DJ Prieto introduced music videos of artist and played new music that has not been released yet. We got to hear Lisa Lisa’s new single Salsa. This is a gem! Our step daughter was extremely happy being celebrated and she was dancing all night long with her friends and she looked beautiful. Thank you for making this day extra special for our family

Authentic Mexican food. I imagine this is how Abuela would prepare a meal. I wouldn’t be surprised if everything was hand prepared, especially the tortillas! Very tasty. There is a salsa bar where you can get a variety of condiments for your meal. Only 5 stars for atmosphere as we dined early, right as they opened. This place looks more like a night club and I bet it’s more lively after 8 pm as there is live Mexican dance music and dancing.

Our waitress Mariana was so hospitable and super helpful with explaining the menu. I don’t that much these days and it really is very refreshing

Cashier/Server Woman was rude and dismissive. Asked for a cup of ice, “Ice is a dollar.” Never addressed me again. I guess she assumed that I didn’t want the ice for $1 or couldn’t afford it. Almost $6 for a taco cheese and tomatoes was over $2. Portillos gave me free Ice and more food. Walking distance.

been going here for a good while. around 3-4 years. always had good service and amazing food. food is good, but ever since they got a new waitress she is horrible. Forgot my rice, drinks, and my mother’s drinks. on top of that she gave us the food first and didn’t give us forks. took 30 minutes after food was given to get the rest of the order. Waitress didn’t write order down and proceeded to come back and ask 4 different questions about what we already told her.

This place use to be good. But now it’s bad. 5$ for a medium Fountain drink is crazy . 25 min wait when your the only person in the whole building is crazy. I now understand why it was empty once I arrived.
