Great place to grab delicious Mexican cuisine. Best Spanish rice I’ve had since living in the South. Great customer service from extremely friendly staff. Very clean restaurant.

Best Mexican restaurant within a 25 mile radius. Food is excellent and top quality ingredients are used. My son’s favorite food is rice & beans, but only the rice & beans from here. He won’t eat them anywhere else. Owner is always present and all of the staff is extremely nice and friendly.

Ordered fajita quesadillas, nachos de fajitas, tacos and horchatas. The staff were nice and welcoming. Didn’t get photos of our food since we’re on the road back to Texas and we’re all eating it in the car. But man loved my new friend. He was very kind and fun! If we’re ever back on this side, we will stop here again.

So this restaurant is off Menge Avenue, since it has been in the news so much just the exit we thought we would check out what the hoopla was and found this Mexican restaurant along the way.
It was lunchtime and it wasn’t that busy so that was nice. Like most Mexican restaurants the menu is very busy. They did have fish tacos as a special today at 2.50 but we decided to order taco salads. The overall atmosphere of this restaurant is quite nice very clean. Our server. Was nice and pleasant, and our food came quite quickly, which was a bonus. The salsa was a little bit soupy. I personally like chunky salsa, but some people may like it this way. The steak salad was seasoned well but the bell peppers and onions were under cooked…. almost raw.
The taco salad on the other hand was half chicken half beef, which was a specially order. It was very good and tasty. Did not try any alcoholic beverages, but they had a very well stocked bar.
I would call this a very quaint, Mexican restaurant off the beaten path. The ladies bathroom was very clean, as was the whole restaurant. They do have high chairs. If you want to bring your children, I actually think it would be a good place to bring your kids.

My go to spot for the best Mexican on the coast. My favorite is the Birria Tacos. We always order to go. The food is always ready in 5-10 minutes. Everything is always fresh and hot. The pineapple fajita is also really good. It’s stuffed with chicken, steak, shrimp, peppers, onions and pineapple. My husband and I usually split it because it’s so much food. The customer service is always wonderful.

First time eating here. I ordered the Pineapple fajitas… Steak, chicken and shrimp (but not many shrimp, only 5 small ones in my order) cooked with onions, bell peppers and pineapple but I requested no bell peppers. It’s topped with white cheese but it’s not queso. It is served in a grilled half of a pineapple. It was very delicious! But… they also cut up and cooked the pineapple core, which was very hard and I had to spit out each time I got a piece. They really should core the pineapple and not include the core in the dish because the core is ridiculously hard, even after being cooked. Their salsa is tasty! Their guacamole didn’t look too appealing. It was dark and had a weird looking oily film all over it so I didn’t eat any of it. Service was good as well. I ate around 4:30 PM and was the only customer there at this time.

The seats we sat at felt like they had a towel rolled up under our butt. They were so low I felt like I needed a booster seat just to have a reasonable eating hightwhile we were seating at the booth on the wall. The food was bland, but the salsa was very salty and tasted like pizza seasoning. When they brought out my fajita I burnt my arm on the plate handle because of how low the seats were and the handle didn’t have a oven mitt cover nor did the server tell me that the food was cooked on the skillet. The fajitas was really greasy. My companion had the chicken Caso and she didn’t like it either. She tried some of mine and didn’t like it. The best thing I liked about the restaurant was the decor. The queso dip tasted sweet for some reason. The chips were good. She did like the unsweetened tea. Also forgot that they didn’t bring our tortillas when our food came out. But she did go back and get them.

I stopped on a whim while traveling, and I am very glad I did! I was greeted immediately and welcomed. Chips were thin and crisp, and the salsa was flavorful, mild, and not a strong cilantro flavor. I added a bit of hot sauce since it was just me, and I like it a little spicy.
For my lunch, I chose the Shrimp de Diablo. This is a dish of large shrimp and onions sautéed in a hot sauce based sauce. Combined with very tasty beans and rice and warm corn tortillas. They absolutely nailed the lunch. The Diablo Shrimp was fantastic with the shrimp perfectly cooked in a sauce with while spicy was rich and deeply layered with flavor. All too often, restaurants think spicy just means hot, but heat should be a layer in the dish, not the only thing you taste or feel. The beans were well flavored, and the rice was the best I have had in a restaurant, and again, it was due to the flavors. I will absolutely stop here any time I pass through.
