This restaurant is extremely clean and looks brand new. Clean restroom. A little language barrier but no real problem. Card machine was down so we had to Zelle, cash app or cash. We don’t recommend accepting cash, especially next to a gas station in South Atlanta. There is a sign “food is made fresh” so we expected a wait, which was fine. There is a toppings bar in the front next to the door. It has some coverage but needed more. There were flies in it. Maybe move it or just give it to guests as needed.
The wings weren’t very crispy and I’m thinking it’s because of the wet sauce they put on it. It drips out if you don’t hold the box square.Maybe just dry rub. The wet sauce looked like oil. Fresh meat, but the lemon pepper wasn’t very noticeable. Almost had a buttermilk taste. The fries were delicious.
Shrimp Ceviche was fair. Some of the chips were stale.
3 birria tacos-The shell was fried too hard and made it like a hard shell taco. Only onions and cilantro inside. The meats were a bit dry. The soup sauce they give you for dipping it has flavor, but my meat was dry still. Asada, Pastore, chorizo.
Tripe Torta was fair price & portion. The people seemed very nice with great service. I appreciate the clean environment and nice bright lights with ample free parking. Typical American Mexican menu. 3.5 on food today but I gave the four star because I feel that they have all they need to improve.
I recently had a fantastic experience at El Patron that’s certainly worth sharing. Stepping up to the counter, I was initially a bit overwhelmed by the extensive menu—so many tempting options! However, the cashier on duty was an absolute gem. They were incredibly patient and took the time to walk me through the various offerings, clearly explaining the different fillings, toppings, and specials. Their enthusiasm and knowledge made navigating the menu a pleasure, not a chore.
After their excellent guidance, I settled on a burrito, and let me tell you, it was a superb choice. From the first bite to the last, the burrito was a delightful symphony of flavors. The ingredients tasted incredibly fresh, the seasoned meat was tender and juicy, and everything was wrapped perfectly in a warm, pliable tortilla. It wasn’t just “good”; it was one of the best burritos I’ve had in a long time—perfectly balanced and generously sized.
The combination of the amazing customer service and the truly delicious food makes El Patron standout spot. It’s rare to find such high-quality food paired with such friendly and helpful staff. If you’re looking for a quick, satisfying, and genuinely pleasant dining experience, I highly recommend stopping by. Their team, especially that wonderful cashier, clearly takes pride in what they do. I’ll definitely be back to try more of their menu, armed with the knowledge I gained.
Our food was delivered to our table and came out nice and hot. I devoured my delicious shrimp tacos and my husband loved his beef rice bowl. The side sauces are spicy hot but oh so good. Love this spot. ❤️
Oh, and to the guy that left a review saying the wings were too soft and there was a language barrier… fool, you’re at a Mexican restaurant, not your momma’s kitchen. Just enjoy being in different spaces with different faces.
