We love it here. We live about an hour away and anytime we are close we detour to eat here. This is a must try! The food is very good! The chips and salsa are so fresh and yummy!

This was a great place to eat! It is a very small place with about ten tables. (There is a patio with additional seating, but not in use today) The food was on point! There is a reason the place was packed. Even though it was busy the wait staff worked well together to make sure every table was taken care of. Everything we ordered was really good. I had the chimichanga and my wife had the nopalitos. My daughter had the fajitas. My mouth is watering as I’m thinking about it writing this review. Now I know why this place is always busy when I drive by.

I love this place. It is really small, but everything is really good and very reasonably priced. They still have $4.99 cheese enchilada dinners every Wednesday night! Wow!

The food is not bad at all but they have COCKROACHES!!!! I went into the bathroom and there was a big one then I came out to tell my friend we were leaving and I saw another big one smushed by our table. A worker asked what was wrong with the bathroom as I was trying to be discreet, and I told her and showed her but one roach, let alone 2, was enough that I will never return. I hope the City of VA Health Department checks it out and closes the place until they can have a pest-free eatery.

When I moved to Van Alstyne, I had no clue that I had a such a wonderful restaurant in my backyard. The rice tastes just like how my mom and abuela made it, and it transports me to my childhood. The beef fajita is tender and delicious. I recommend this restaurant to any food lover, and it is worth the drive to experience this kind of cooking. This is best Mexican food I’ve had north of San Antonio.

So I am really disappointed in yall. Yesterday my elderly parents went there to eat. They eat there quite often and occasionally get their group of 14 to go. My father ALWAYS orders the two enchiladas with double rice. No beans and queso on top. They were both charged an additional 5.00 per plate. When they questioned the waiter they said management told them to charge that. 32.00 for that. Plus they had water with lemon. Now rice and tortillas are about the cheapest foods on the planet. Where do yall get off charging that?? We have been clients since yall were across from Parkland. You have lost their business. Our business and their group business!!!

This place was awesome. Home style atmosphere, large patio, excellent homemade food from a Mexican restaurant that’s been in dallas for decades, but moved to Van Alstyne 9 years ago. Service was great, fajitas were too, as well as the #1 (not pictured). Be sure to try that spicy green salsa! And those refried beans are definitely authentic and worth every bite. A bit out of the way for us, I hope they open a location in McKinney, but we will be sure to frequent this place more often.
