Food 12/10!!! I ordered oxtails, rice, and fried plantains with a lemonade as my beverage. The atmosphere is very welcoming, a really good date spot if you like to eat where there’s not a lot of people. Very affordable, super delicious, & large portions. Usually not busy so you can go in and get a nice hot fresh meal within 15 minutes or less. They also have plenty of seating, with unique light fixtures if you’re more of a dine-in kind of gal. If you don’t know what to try I recommend trying one of the empanadas with their special green house sauce.

I appreciate your reply, but it’s not the customer’s job to tell you how to run a business. A $16 plate shouldn’t be mostly rice with a strip of meat on top, especially when you expect people to “pay more” for what should already be a proper portion. How about serving the correct amount first and making sure customers actually get their money’s worth?
It’s disappointing to see how defensive the response was instead of simply acknowledging the issue. The previous owners provided excellent food and service,that’s why customers supported this place. The new management could learn a lot from that level of quality and hospitality.

As soon as you walk in you are welcomed with amazing customer service. The atmosphere is super clean & relaxing it gives comfortable, cozy environment which makes you feel right at home. I had an incredible dining experience at this establishment! The food was nothing short of amazing, and the customer service was top-notch. I was particularly impressed by the cleanliness of the space, which made for a welcoming atmosphere. I tried the Dominican burger, and it was absolutely delicious—packed with vibrant flavors that left me wanting more. Highly recommend!

First time visit during what one would consider lunch hour and the place was dead! I had what I believe was ox tail in a brown sauce/gravy, rice, plantains and beans. Flavor was ok but the meat and rice was cold! Didn’t feel safe eating it as it sits out buffet style. Beans were hot and good, also had a cheese empanada but it had the same temperature issues. Barely touched it and likely won’t be back. No excuse for cold food when it should be a busy time for a restaurant downtown!

I ordered bacalao and Pollo guisado combos. One for lunch and one for dinner later. The fish was extra salty like it wasn’t soaked long enough and tasted recooked but what was worse I didn’t receive pollo guisado I received freaking bbq chicken that tasted reheated?? So upset about my money and that it seems like mostly everyone’s experience was a good except mine. This was my 1st try and I really hesitate to try them again. I gave them a 2 because the empanadas were ok but the 2 main courses ended up both in the trash. Because it was later I tried the chicken for dinner, Uber Eats would not give me my money back on the wrong received food even with proof of a pic. Nobody got money to waste to end up still hungry

Brenda’s cooking was immaculate. Rene was so welcoming and made us feel at home. We all shared an oxtail plate with frijoles y arroz. It was a very clean restaurant with cute decorations. The music was a 10/10 and the limonada was so refreshing. Can’t wait to come again! We cleaned the plates man. Bathrooms are very clean and smell good.

I ordered the roasted chicken with black rice and a chicken with cheese empanada. Everything was drier than a desert. Barely any flavor and it tastes like it was made days ago and put back out today. 0/10 don’t recommend.
