El Patio de la Casa de Mi Abuela is one of those places que se sienten como casa desde que llegas. They are known for their cajitas de chilaquiles and for good reason. Los totopos vienen de diferentes sabores and my favorite is the nopal. They add so much flavor and make the whole dish feel special y bien pensado.
They have a great variety of guisos and I had the chicharrón prensado con salsa verde. Buenísimo. The salsas you can choose from are all so so good. De verdad todas están riquísimas. My advice is go with your favorite color porque no hay pierde. You can add as much salsa as you want and every option hits.
On the weekends they also have menudo bien riquísimo. De ese que sabe a casa y a domingo en la mañana. My daughters tried the breakfast tacos and they loved them. The flour tortillas are handmade y se nota. You can build different breakfast tacos and they even have one with salchichas just like you would make at home.
We also tried the little pancakes and wow. It is a whole treat. Soft warm and comforting. Do not skip the arroz con leche. Tiene sabor a piloncillo and it is súper cremoso. Perfect way to end the meal.

Picked up a breakfast surprise plate (thru the app Too Good to Go). It included a serving of 4 different egg fillers and 2 flour tortillas. Not bad for $5.41…
Employees and manager were friendly & helpful. Clean environment and had a low-to-medium noise level.

I had been seeing people review it on Instagram, had the chance to stop by.
First of, great customer service, I said it was my first time here and they explained all the foods and chips variations for the chilaquiles. Order some gorditas and chilaquiles. The chicharon grenade, asado de puerco, and potatoes and chorizo were good. The Rajas con queso was phenomenal.

I saw this on social media and it did not fail. Food was outstanding delish flavor. The lady who made my chilaquilles wow nailed it. I chose nopal and reg. Chips, green salsa, nopales, cheese like 3 types it was so good, my husband got the fajita, sausage platter rice and beans with flour tortillas was good to. I ordered a chicken mole taco to be honest I was not impressed with it reason I don’t like boneless chicken in the mole it has more of a dry flavor and not juicy just dried chicken breast so was NOT a fan of that taco. Got another taco of fajita/sausage that was very good flavorful, savory juicy fajita and well cooked sausage on flour tortilla overall the restaurant is very nice and clean, great music, awesome hospitable staff. Very clean restrooms. Overall will be coming back and give other dishes a try. Hope my pics help so you can see it is great choices.

I’ve been wanting to come to this place to try their breakfast, and I finally made it. The place is located in a shopping strip and it appears small from the outside but inside seems spacious. I love the fountain in the middle of the restaurant and the decore brings me back to eating out on weekends in Reynosa with my parents. You order at the counter, pay the cashier, then they bring the food to your table. I tried their combo #1 which includes 3 breakfast tacos from their selection of breakfast dishes and a drink or coffee for $6.99. You can get the tacos on flour or corn tortillas. I opted for flour and got one taco of chorizo con huevo, papas con huevo, and tocino con huevo. I also added a Gordita filled with salchicha en salsa cuz I had to try them (you know, nostalgia and all). The tortillas tasted homemade, the tacos were filled to overflow, everything tasted great and authentic. The tortillas are regular sized but the tacos will fill you up. The gordita tasted great; could’ve been a bit thicker, for my taste, or bigger for the price, but I’m not mad at it. The salchichas were not spicy but tasted well seasoned and brought a childhood smile to my face. The staff is super friendly and explained the menu as I ordered. The restaurant and bathroom are clean and the music brought me back to the 80s/90s in Mexican pop; I.e., heaven to my ears. They have a taco Tuesday special from 7-11am so I might have to try that next time or their lunch. I will definitely return. Delicioso!

Nice experience at this restaurant. You have to order at the registry. We had the chilaquiles and the gorditas. The flavor was good, all the salsas they have for them are good. Wish they had better coffee options.

I found this neat app called Too Good to Go and decided to try it out. I got the opportunity to check out this wonderfully beautiful place called el patio de mi abuela. To my surprise the staff members there are down to earth professionals. Great customer service skills, sharp problem solving skills and good attitudes. The place is well lit, bright and vibrant. Gives this sense of being in an enchanted hacienda. Such a Marvelous place. The food is hearty and delicious . Saucey with the sauces and light fluffy eggs. Their potatoes have a robust flavor due to the little bits chorizo added. Definitely a place to make a Sunday Sunday brunch place or a Saturday night lights….
