Very quaint little place with outside seating and great service. Ordered the enchiladas with red sauce and it was quite good, but fairly spicy. I like spicy, but I was a bit surprised at the spice level. My wife said her green chili was also pretty spicy (she likes spice, too, so it was fine) They didn’t have a real margarita (liquor license thing) but I had an agave wine margarita and it was quite good.

Great restaurant with a friendly, comfortable vibe. Patio dining includes canine friendly spaces and inside is nicely decorated and cozy. The food was delicious! Fajitas and a burger with egg were tried and enjoyed,
A definite place to return to!!

A charming, cozy spot with a warm, boutique feel. The food was overall good. The fajitas were not the best I had, the seasoning of the beef was a bit off and very much on the salty side. The Mexican coke was $6, which is nice—they could’ve just robbed you but they still give you a coke :D. The coke also tasted pretty mediocre, not the differences that we were expecting from cane sugar. The flan was absolutely horrible.l, the worst that I had. The sopaipilla was quite enjoyable, 2nd best we had, just next to cocina azul— sweet, still fragrant but not as fragrant and soft. The green chili stew was super flavorful, definitely worth it. The stuffed sopaipilla was not bad, but nothing special. Overall, it was a positive experience.

This is a must stop if you are taking a road trip along I-40. The food was amazing especially with the vegetarian friendly options. The highlight was definitely our server Jimmy. He was friendly, attentive and knowledgeable about the area. He gave us so many ideas to plan the rest of our stay in ABQ. This place should not be missed.

I live in Texas and I can’t get any good New Mexican food there. When I come to town I am trying to look for my fix of New Mexico food. This place was delicious and satisfied my craving. The potatoes were cooked and seasoned great. The portions are great and leave you full and happy. The customer service was friendly and our waiter was very attentive. I wish I could give this place more stars. Will be returning next time I am in town.

Friendly staff and delicious food! I had the “El Patio Combination” which can be made vegetarian by having a bean taco. Seating is available outside, on a small patio, or inside.

Food was great.
Service was iffy.
Sharp in responses, no warning about “wine” Rita’s until they were served and we asked to be able to purchase a side shot of tequila.

Food was excellent and the atmosphere was wonderful. Calm and laid back. Our server was nice but not as attentive as we would have liked. It took a while for refills and she forgot a to go box. But she seemed like she might be newish? Nothing to get mad about but it could have been just a bit better. Either way great place good food and prices.

Rayn was attentive and provided incredible service. I highly recommend the carne adovada inside a sopapilla, with red chile topped with an egg!

This little hole in the wall, off the beaten path is one of finest Mexican food places in the City, close to UNM, and better than the Cafeteria style of locations around the area.
The food was fantastic….the Grilled Fish Tacos are really good…but with all the stuffing that goes inside, it’s better to be served with a flour tortilla than corn. My wife loved the Stuffed Sopapilla and Papa’s plate so much with the sauce and freshness that she didn’t have room for the dessert Sopapilla, so my youngest son got it.
The service was excellent and this place has been around for decades.
We found another place to visit when in Albuquerque.
