The atmosphere (decor) is nice. The food was very small portioned for the prices But tasted good. Very very hot inside. Our waitress was very sweet. The drinks were made incorrectly and they would not correct them. The manager stated we would have to pay for both drinks and she was not switching out any drinks. Very very nasty attitude. She also walked off. Will not go back to this establishment due to poor management.

This new restaurant is a great addition to Sumter. We have visited twice and both times the food, service, and atmosphere we’re amazing! The only issue was portion sizes for the price we’re to small both occasions with different menu options. Other than that everything is great. It’s Definitely Our new go to spot for sure! New favorite restaurant! Definitely recommending it to all our fam and friends. Can’t wait to visit again.

Definitely a different restaurant than what we are used to in Sumter. The atmosphere was really crowded, which is to be expected with a new place. They have a great margarita menu. We sat up stairs and it was hot!! Apparently, the A/C didn’t work up there. The food arrived at the table shortly after we ordered it. My meal was Nachos Locos . It was good after I poured my queso all over it. The kitchen used shredded cheese, which hardened before I could eat it.. but I ate it and it was good. My wife and sisters had a pulled pork style meal, which was really good. I can’t pronounce it, but it was good! I will be back eventually, I’m sure, but for me, The Yucatan Restaurant is my first choice.

From start to finish this place was just average. We really wanted to like this place because it’s the new spot in town but we just didn’t. It wasn’t terrible there was no missing finger in the salsa but everything was just meh. The blasè experience began with the chips and salsa. The salsa container was less than half full. Only enough for one of the dipping cups and there were two of us there. What surprised me was inside the cup there was some strange substance that looked like butter So i wiped it out and moved on. Not a big deal. Next they provided bean dip for the chips as well and it was extremely bland. No salt or seasoning of any kind. the daiquiria was pretty good but it was also fairly expensive for this particular area. We got a tamale, a guacamole taco, the loco burrito, and a flauta, the tamale has far too much masa and not nearly enough meat and sauce, the taco was decent, the flauta was not at all what the picture looked like and was dry. The burrito tasted good however it like everything else was lukewarm. Overall there was no egregious errors however as an experience as a whole it was a lot less than we expected and for one drink, one entree, and 3 á la cart dishes to come to almost $40 was much more than I’m willing to pay for that level of mediocre food. The atmosphere was less than pleasant. We were by a table of very loud women taking shots and making fools of themselves. There were several tables like this. Overall I don’t think we will be repeat customers

Nice atmosphere, like the set up. Impressed slightly. Drinks are an A++, food from what I tried is decent, a little on the greasy side. They just recently opened so I’m sure it’ll get better with time. I’d definitely dine again and recommend.

Lots of room in this renovated downtown Sumter space. If you have walking issues, make sure you tell them so you can be seated on the main floor. Upstairs dining is beautiful, and service to seating area is not degraded, but steps are steep. There are clean/modern restrooms upstairs. The food was fresh and delicious, and the atmosphere was festive! I’ll be back!
