Best steaks and Mexican food around. Quiet and charming. Eat there once and you will be back. Servers were very pleasant. Salad bar was beautiful and well stocked. Very fresh ! This place is a must try. Attention to detail is amazing here. This was my first time trying it and it maybe Lafayettes secret spot for the locals. Wait time was not bad , prices are on par with other restaurants. Restrooms were super clean. I spoke with the owner and you can tell he takes great pride in his restaurant. El Paso Mexican Restaurant deserves way more than 5 stars! From the moment we walked in, the service was top notch, friendly, and incredibly attentive. Our drinks never got low, the staff was quick, welcoming, and made us feel like VIPs the entire time.
Now the food… WOW. Every single bite tasted fresh, authentic, and perfectly seasoned. You can tell this isn’t just “another Mexican restaurant” this is the real deal. The flavors are bold, the portions are generous, and everything came out hot and fast even while they were busy.
The salsa? Addicting.
The entrees? Absolutely delicious.
The whole experience? 10/10 across the board.
It’s rare to find a place that nails both incredible service AND authentic food, but El Paso does it effortlessly. If you’re anywhere nearby and don’t stop here, you’re seriously missing out.
We travel a lot and try restaurants all over the country, and this place stands with the best of them. Hands down one of the best Mexican restaurant experiences we’ve had.
We’ll definitely be back probably sooner than we should!

First time at El Paso is an absolute must-try! If you’re looking for an authentic, flavorful Mexican meal this is the place. From the moment we walked in, the atmosphere was vibrant and welcoming, featuring beautiful traditional decor and lively music. Our server Fidel was incredibly friendly and attentive, offering excellent menu suggestions and ensuring our drinks were always full. The menu offers a wide variety of dishes from, Mexican food, steak, lasagna, salad bar, burgers, and seafood. I tried the Molcajete and horchata and all I can say is easily some of best Mexican food I’ve had in a long time. The portions are generous, and the pricing is very reasonable and to top our dinning experience for dessert we had the Tres leches cake and it was our favorite! If you’re looking for an authentic and flavorful Mexican meal, friendly and attentive staff, El Paso is place to go. You won’t be disappointed!

Very good dining! Had a small, well medium sized dinner with family. Was a birthday celebration and included a party of 8. We made a reservation. Place was hopping on Saturday afternoon! Service was quick…they allowed us to bring our own birthday cake, and sang to us. They have a salad bar, not overstocked, but still ate my fill…got a baked potato, with extra butter..which is how I like it…and didn’t have to ask for more butter! Right the first time. They created my wife some chorizo street tacos, which were not listed in the menu..that’s he go to! Popcorn shrimp, hamburger steak, chimichonga, burrito, cheese Quesidillas, hot dog…we order a variety and ate sufficient! Good dining, good company

The customer service is great. The entire staff is welcoming and ready to make sure you have a great experience. The food is phenomenal. The tres leche cake is beyond delicious! The shrimp is flavorful, and the chicken is cooked to perfection. They have a vast menu and plenty to choose from. There is a little something for all taste buds.

Update 12-20-2024
Went to try the Prime Rib today with the new dipping sauce. It was fantastic. My wife had the the Pollo Regio and said it was excellent! I love to be honest in my reviews and I must say, we have been going here for a while now and everything is always better than you can get for miles. The Prime Rib dipping sauce was my only dislike but as of today, that’s fixed. I still add a little salt to mine as I love a strong flavor profile.
Update 12-15-2024:
Still the best place to eat in Lafayette. The salsa has been fixed and is no longer watery. I was told today they are working on improving the sauce that is served with the Prime Rib. I will post another update on that when they have it updated. It’s nice that the owner and manager listen to suggestions. We felt very welcome there today and as aways, it was a pleasure feeling valued as a customer. If you love Mexican or American, it doesn’t matter because there is something good on the menu for everyone. Today I had smothered chopped steak with cheese and mushrooms with mashed potatoes and gravy with toast on the side. My wife had a hamburger with onion rings.

Great atmosphere and service. We have eaten here multiple times and each time the food has been great. My only complaint is the Prime Rib plate. Make sure to ask for a different sauce because the sauce they serve with it is a mixture of sage and other spices you might use on chicken but not Prime Rib. A tangier sauce is traditional and expected. The Prime Rib is good without the sauce so that is why there are not many complaints about it. Other than that, my only other complaint would be the chips and salsa. The salsa is very thin and watery, but the flavor is great. I will update this review the next time i try the salsa and Prime Rib to see if they improve for 2025. Always room to improve. I do recommend this place because they have a wide variety of dishes and they are all better than you would get anywhere in Lafayette, Westmoreland or Boiling Springs.

El Paso is my favorite restraunt. The customer service is great. My family and I always eat here . My husband usually gets the carne asada, my child loves the chicken & cheese with rice and beans , and I usually get the quesadilla fajita with pineapple. We are NEVER disappointed with our food. Definitely recommend.
