Table of 6 adults .
They had decent amount of customers upon entry. They were not “BUSY” .
My adult daughter tried to order a beer. The server laughed and just said “ if we had alcohol, I wouldn’t be working “
But yet they show alcoholic drinks on menu
This place is mediocre at best.
Got a table & menus right away. It did take a few minutes for a young man that said he was the server to come get drink Order. He did not write them down and had them all mixed up.
A lady returned with salsa . A tiny bowl for each person. I tried several times to get more salsa . But that was a failure . They do not leave any extra at the table , like other places do.
We ordered Guacamole, queso . Guacamole appears to be made in house. It was tasty, could use a tad bit of salt and more jalapeños.
Entrees include
Shrimp tacos. Fair but delicious, they sauce has just meh, tastes like chipotles blended with sour cream
Al pastor street tacos. – these are good, but needs some sort of sauce to put on top .
Daughter received some sort of chicken breast with onion, bell peppers, tomatoes and a side of rice and beans …NOT WHAT SHE ORDERED. But didn’t want to complain. PLUS SHE ORDERED NO TOMATOES, & it still had tomato’s
Playa salad with salmon . This salad was as advertised, however was kinda plain. No seasoning on salmon .
Paradise plate . Was ok. Rice is plain and needs a sauce or salsa .
Taquitos with rice and beans . Tasted like boxed frozen taquitos .
Rice was plain , beans were grainy texture.
Food was mediocre and lukewarm warm .
Hard time getting refill in drinks or chips, never did get more salsa .
Service was lacking !!!
After receiving our food. The staff was more interested in watching the rain and hail come down. There were tornados in the area.
I nor my family will be returning. It’s a 30 minute drive for us. And there are a lot better options than this one.
The other one in Seymour , 1 in Mansfield, Hartville , 2 in Mtn grove and plenty of other options in Springfield area , that are much better .
AWESOME FOOD I’m Truck Driver
Service with A SMILE WALK N AT
almost closing time. Thank YOU so much Looking forward to coming back.
Restaurant is bright, cheerful atmosphere. Leandra our waitress was wonderful.
We were seated immediately. We were treated to the usual chips and salsa appetizer. The choices were the same things available at most Mexican restaurants. I had a chimichanga and my husband had some kind of burrito. I will only speak about mine. It was an average chimichanga. It could have been fried a bit more and the filling could have had more flavor. It wasn’t bad but not as good as my local Mexican restaurant. The rice was ok but the refried beans were top notch. I’m not sure what was different about them. They looked like normal beans but they tasted great.
The waitress was very attentive but again, we were the only ones there.
If someone asked me about a place to eat in town I would probably recommend it. I imagine they will continue to get better with time.
However, the seymour location has gone down hill quick. The service isn’t the best, the air conditioning isn’t working and a few of the waitresses dont speak hardly any English so our orders have been messed up. Still love the Springfield location though!
