They have a great view of the lake next to the restaurant. Give it a try amd see what you think.
Upon reading the menu I was happy to find that there were so many vegetarian options!! I ended up ordering the chimichanga and my bf got the carne asada. When the food arrived it looked good and the chimichanga tasted really good and was filled with black beans and cheese. The slaw was sorta warm feeling like it sat out on the counter all day and was finally served though it had good flavor. The rice was dry and lacked flavor and the tostada bowl full of black beans felt like they just took the beans from the can and heated them up unseasoned and bland. The carne asada was small but my bf said it was good. And after we were done the waiter asked if we wanted any desserts.
My bf asked what they had and the waiter started naming off things like fried ice cream, churros, and chimichanga cheesecake. What!? Chimichanga cheesecake? So we ordered that. Now my bf was not big on cheesecake from the jump, but I slowly got him to like it. After this chimichanga cheesecake I do not know, I might have to try to get him back into it again.
First off the idea is solid and it is the lack of execution that gets me. If you are gonna market something as a cheesecake IT BETTER TASTE AND FEEL LIKE A CHEESECAKE!! This did neither. The taste of the ice cream and whipped cream were fine, the cheesecake itself was horrible and nasty. It tasted like someone took a block of frozen cream cheese that was not Philadelphia and had gone sour and shoved it into a flour tortilla and deep fried it till it tasted burned. It was gross. I took two bites to make sure and it was gross. Do you want me to show you what a cheesecake should taste like? I like the idea and the amount of vegetarian options, but it is poorly executed and lacks real flavor or resemblance to cheesecake. I am not rushing back to this place and will probably just try to make my own chimichanga cheesecake soon. Thanks for the location and the nature. Also, the people there talk to much and too loud. Other customers that is, service was good.
Their Vegetarian Chimichanga tasted great. The portion size is pretty large as well and offers a wide variety of Margaritas and other cocktails.
Anyway, delicious food, great service, and a lovely view…even in the rain!
The restaurant sits right against Lake Tye, so you can bask in the calm ambiance of the lake while you dine in some delicious Mexican cuisine!
Our family enjoyed the chicken quesadilla, chicken macho burrito, and chicken taco salad. My youngest, enjoyed a simple lunch of rice and beans…he cleaned his plate I might add, which doesn’t happen often!
Great food, great service, and great location…what more could you possibly want? Go check it out!
Overall: Our server was friendly, the food needs seasoning and flavor, and the tvs were all on and too loud for me to talk or hear comfortably, and between our server and the manager checking in on us all the time it’s like we couldn’t have a moment to settle in.
Just wanted to eat good Mexican food in peace.
This is probably where to go for drinks? I’m not sure.
Food was good, far from perfect. Needs some improvement but otherwise, enough to make a return here.
Atmosphere is very friendly and cozy. Service was good until they faster to forget you or not attend to you as timely.
Overall a good place, not great but one of the better Mexican cuisines in Washington. I like this place more than Dos Agaves in Marysville
