Delicious take out spot tucked away in an unassuming spot in Hopatcong. It’s advertised as Mexican and Peruvian but it’s more of a Mexican place. I did order a Peruvian dish once (lomo saltado) and it was good but their Mexican dishes are definitely better. Huge portions and very reasonably priced. The staff is also very friendly. I highly recommend the carne asada and the burritos. They do have authentic Mexican food which is rare in this area.

This place is incredible. My partner and I order from here almost weekly now. I usually get two orders of the chorizo tacos and a steak burrito (4 tacos per order!). We tried their beef enchiladas a few days ago and they were great (4 enchiladas per order). The rice and beans that accompany the burritos and enchiladas are always warm and soft. I never get hard rice from this place. They make two kinds of burritos normally (I think), Steak and Chicken. Both are excellent! I called recently and asked for a Chorizo burrito and they made it. It was absolutely amazing. It was STUFFED with chorizo. And the chorizo is flavored so deliciously well. The verde sauce is delicious as well as their hot sauce. It’s not as hot as I thought it might be but it does have a nice zing to it. The heat also doesn’t linger for too long which is nice. I do enjoy getting the hot sauce from them every other time or so. The flavors of this place are phenomenal. If you’re in the area, you have to try this Mexican restaurant. You will NOT be disappointed. Grab a mandarin flavored Jarritos too.

Stopped to try this new place and got 2 Peruvian dishes from their menu. I can honestly say both dishes did not have any Peruvian flavors. The Bistec a lo pobre had Mexican seasoning on the steak and french fries felt refried. The ceviche had chunks of celery all over and had a strange after taste with very little lemon juice in it. I did ask if the dishes were authentic Peruvian and was informed everyone there is Mexican but a Peruvian cook taught them how to make the dishes. Food lacked flavor and is in much need of improvement. I will definitely try to stop here again and try their mexican menu and update my score based on their mexican menu. As far as Peruvian food goes I rather make the trip down to Dover and stop at any Peruvian restaurant there.

Tostadas eclipse anything I’ve had anywhere including upscale places. Give you three, pile on the food, the fried tortilla part is crunchy and thick, and the meat’s always cooked well. Getting two is what happens actually if you go to a city or fancy place.
