Excellent food—very reasonably priced. Perfect if you’re going to or coming back from SPI and looking for a more local flavor and attitude. Just down the road from the bridge in the quiet section of Port Isabel. I especially enjoyed the veggie omelet with cheese; beans, and hash browns. Very friendly staff, and a relaxed and comfortable atmosphere with plenty of tables and seating. A wide selection of breakfast and lunch dishes—both American and Mexican favorites. Daily specials too. The only reason I gave a four star and not a five is that the building and interior could use some updating – but otherwise 5 stars.

I would say the food was okay, especially the flour tortillas, which were nice and soft. The only thing I didn’t like was that they brought the food AN HOUR LATE. Just as I was about to cancel, they arrived with the food, and we had to eat quickly because I had an appointment. That was very unpleasant.

Stopped in for quick lunch, so glad we did. I had the best, 3 cheese enchiladas with rice and beans for $7.98. Chips and salsa were great. Locals frequent, and I can see why. Love this old school local Mexican treasure.

We were a group of 6 on a Saturday morning and the staff was very accommodating and attentive. The con Todo taco with beans, egg, potato, ham, chorizo, and cheese was the ultimate taco. You have to order it! They serve barbacoa on Saturday’s and it too was loved, and very lean.
