This place is one of the best or the best in the area. The food is really good and everything’s got good flavor. I recommend the carne asada plate. You can’t get that much good food for that price anywhere else. Also good customer service.

After nearly 2 weeks in Canada we were craving some good mexican food that we were missing. Looked up places near us on the way home and came across El Palenque and the others in the little strip next to them. What a nice find, three unique Mexican restaurants side by side. They were friendly when we walked in and took our order. She brought out chips and salsa for us since we ate in. It was nice to see how busy the cooks were as people were coming and going with several orders for take out, made us feel good about coming here. I got a super burrito and my wife a regular burrito. Both were really good, she had the pastor and really enjoyed it. I was glad to get the super with the avocado, but I probably could have cut some of the dairy out. Either way, it was really good and filling. I was glad that these weren’t as salty as the Mexican markets near our house but still packed with delicious spices. Nice little seating area inside, it was comfortable for the three of us. Next time we’re going to/from SFO we’ll be likely to stop by again.

Hmm, too bad my experience was a bit disappointing. The carnitas tacos were bland but the carne tacos were salty. Free chips were stale. Salsas were average. At least the unconventional chicken quesadilla was hot and tasty. It was more like a burrito? A bit cramped inside but enough tables. Street parking and no restroom that I saw. Prices were average for the area.

Our go-to place for authentic tacos. It’s a hole-in-the-wall sort of place but who cares when the food is delicious! They have a small salsa station, which is nice. Prices are cheap for great tacos. Easy to find street parking. We always leave happy from this place!

We got our orders to go as the seating area isn’t the largest. You can still seat some 15-20 people inside though. It was packed when we went with a steady stream of to go orders as well. We ordered two super burritos, one cabeza, and one carne asada. Both were huge and very delicious. We’re really happy that we came by and will stopping by more often. Staff were very pleasant !
