Undoubtedly the best nachos i’ve ever had, and that’s been my reaction with every new dish I’ve tried from El Palenque. The staff is incredible, with the owner, Francisco, always making sure everyone is taken care of. A wonderful family-owned establishment that you absolutely must visit. I look forward to trying everything on the menu!

We didn’t get the waiters name, but he was so friendly. Talked to us, wished us a Merry Christmas, and didn’t write down our order or drinks, but brought exactly what we ordered. We didn’t get before pictures, but the food was amazing.
Update: we just ate here again a year since we ate here the last time. This is still an amazing restaurant. We can’t wait to be back in the area again. The staff are are so professional and friendly. Love this restaurant!

I had lunch here recently with an old high school friend and her traveling companion. I forgot what they had but they both liked their meals. I had the Ranchero special along with a beef taco on the side. Everything was pretty tasty but I will say the service was just ok, like they need a little more pep in their step.

This is one of the best restaurants that Batesville has to offer! Hidden off the main road, it seems sort of generic. Entering you will find yourself quickly seated and refreshed with the common drink options. I visited with my spouse and we had chicken and beef chimichanga respectively. Our food was delivered within two to three minutes of ordering. Which was outstanding. My meal was delicious not dry and had a good flavor profile. My wife however got half way through her meal and discovered a small nugget of under cooked ground beef. The waiter sincerely apologized and brought out a replacement chicken chimichanga. The undercooked meat was the reason for a loss of a star. The friendly staff, good food, clean facilities, and affordable pricing make this a great option for a delicious meal.

It’s a nice little restaurant it’s tucked back out of the way hard to find but if you find it it’s really good food at a really good price and I think that the waitresses and the waiters there are really good and really nice it’s definitely somewhere I like to eat

Of all the Mexican restaurants in Batesville, this is by far my favorite. The food is always appetizing, the prices are reasonable, and the staff are friendly. I recommend El Palenque if you are looking for a delicious meal in Batesville with fast and friendly service. You won’t be disappointed.
