I’m a regular customer and stop by El Palacio de los Jugos about 2–3 times a week. I would honestly come daily if a few issues around the juice offerings were addressed.

I particularly enjoy fresh vegetable and fruit juices, but I’ve consistently noticed that the carrot juice tastes watered down or diluted, and the guanábana juice tastes overly sweet. I’ve been told at several locations that sugar and sometimes water are added to some of the juices that are presented as “natural.”

If that’s the case, I believe this should be clearly disclosed or explained. Many customers choose these juices specifically for health reasons, assuming they are freshly squeezed or pressed without additives. A lack of clarity can unintentionally mislead people who are trying to make healthier choices.

That said, I still consider El Palacio de los Jugos a welcomed oasis of healthier options in a landscape dominated by sugary beverages that contribute to obesity and diabetes. Most of the juice selection is excellent, which is why I’m taking the time to share this feedback.

I hope management will consider clarifying ingredients and possibly improving the preparation of certain juices. Transparency and consistency would go a long way—and would definitely keep loyal customers like me coming back even more often.

Step into El Palacio de los Jugos on Bird Road, and you’re immediately swept into a vibrant, open-air temple of Cuban flavor. This isn’t just a restaurant; it’s a bustling marketplace of Miami’s most authentic culinary traditions. The air buzzes with energy, a testament to the loyal following that flocks here for a true taste of home.

While the name translates to “The Palace of Juices,” and their fresh fruit jugos and batidos are legendary—try the watermelon or a classic mamey—the prepared foods are the real crown jewels. Customers consistently rave about the chicharrones, perfectly crispy and meaty slabs of pork belly that command your attention. Other can’t-miss favorites include the savory arroz imperial, tender lechon asado, and classic sides like moros and sweet maduros. It’s a symphony of classic Cuban hits, served cafeteria-style with a generous spirit.

For a genuine, no-frills taste of Miami’s Cuban heart, El Palacio de los Jugos delivers. It’s a delicious, high-energy experience where the quality of the food speaks for itself, dish after delicious dish.

The worst Palacio de los Jugos in all of Miami. The meat usually looks old and dry. These places are known for serving generous portions, but don’t expect that at the Palacio de los Jugos on SW 40th St (Bird Road). The steaks—no matter the type of meat—are tiny, and the most ridiculous part is the rice portions. It honestly feels like a joke. Gourmet-restaurant–style rice portions at a place that’s supposed to be all about abundance. I genuinely don’t know if the workers are cutting portions to take food home or if management is doing it to squeeze out double the sales. And this review isn’t based on just one visit. I live in the area, and this is how it usually is.

The best Cuban sandwich in Miami. But they also make it the way I want it. Half of the sandwich has 2 ham croquette and the other half of the sandwich has 2 chorizo croquettes. Plus 2 fried eggs.

I ordered lunch for my son and I this past Friday. Nothing crazy a cuban sandwich and a pan con bistec. I love Palacio de los Jugos, they always have a large variety of food and their service is fast and friendly. This was my first time at this particular location and sadly my last time. My pan con bistec was old. What a disappointment! The steak was old, the bread was old, the tomatoes were old. The only thing fresh was the lettuce even the papitas were old! I was not able to finish and I did not return because unfortunately it was during my “work lunch break” and by the time I would have clocked out and returned it would have been a new shift and I was not provided a receipt to prove same day purchase. Sadly this location is at the corner of my house and I will not be returning.

First time at this location. I like that it is smaller than other locations. Still plenty of selection and friendly service. Ordered a Cuban sandwich and an order of malanga chips. Everything was great.

Would to point out the gentleman Lazaro makes the best rice pudding. He’s very humble about it and deserves the recognition for making the best rice pudding I’ve ever had in Miami. The food here is very fresh and delicious which I ve had for 8 years.
