Excellent food and atmosphere. Plenty of room for small groups. In a town where there are so many Mexican Restaurants, this one stands out. The chips and salsa came quickly. I ordered the California Burrito and was very pleased with the size and taste. I am confident recommending this restaurant to anyone.

Served cold food I ordered the combo plate with a beef taco, 2 cheese enchiladas and rice. She brought me out the plate and everything was cold. The cheese had never been melted and the taco was not good. I was craving some good Mexican food when I walked into the restaurant and I was still craving it when I left. Also I finished my drink in the first couple minutes of being there and never was offered a refill.

Our dinner was outstanding! The menu boasts items I’d not seen elsewhere. The food was not salty, which was a very pleasant change! Service was perfect. And the atmosphere is cheerful and inviting. I’m already looking forward to my next visit.

I really wanted to give a great review but I cannot. My husband and I went out for dinner and it was awful. We were seated and received our chips and salsa. The server took our food and drink orders. We finally received our drinks, water, when the chips were almost gone. At that time the server told us our food would be a few minutes more before arriving. After waiting for MORE than an hour for our food to arrive my husband went to the checkout counter and politely asked when our food would arrive but no answer was given. We waited 10 minutes more and he once again inquired about the status of our food. The person at checkout stated “He told you the food would be a few minutes late”. The three people in the kitchen were just then beginning to prepare our food to cook, at least my husband thought it might be our food, but by then it was almost NINE PM. We left and will NEVER return. We will also recount our experience to anyone and everyone who asks about El Palacio.

The food is amazing, the service is even better. The size of the meal varies. I’ve been here a few different times and this place has my business. The staff are so polite. The atmosphere is great. The recently remodeled building is gorgeous. The rear parking is well done. If you want a good view of the Duck River then they have sunroom seating that looks over our beautiful River.
