Had a wonderful meal at this Mexican restaurant with my friend before he left the country. As an Egyptian, I was amazed by how much this food felt like home—warm, comforting, and so filling, just like my mum’s cooking. The staff was incredibly kind, offering great recommendations and making sure my first visit was absolutely perfect. With love, I strongly recommend this place!

This little Mexican joint sits right next to a university, tucked along the roadside. It has a classic takeout-focused vibe, but what brought me here was the taco menu. They serve tongue, beef head, tripe, lamb — all that’s missing is buche (stomach)!
I ordered six different kinds, including the birria taco. For drinks, I went with horchata, which tasted just as good as expected. The beef head taco was delicious, and the standout was the tripe — super tasty! Surprisingly, it wasn’t as juicy as I expected (places like this usually go heavy on the oil), but still solid. The birria deserves special praise — the broth was packed with toppings and flavor. Impressive!
Service-wise, it’s your standard to-go spot — nothing fancy, but efficient. Still, this is definitely a must-visit in the area, especially if you’re looking for the widest taco filling selection around!

We loved El Paisano!!! A small, cozy vibe. The service was great and the menu had so many choices! Loved their guacamole, burritos, tostadas, and gorditas. I wished the chicken had some more flavor, but we can’t wait to go back and try more!

Ordered a tinga, el pastor, and chorizo taco. All of the meats packed a good punch in flavor. Make sure to add the hot sauce they provide if you like spicy. The guac & chips were fresh and the rice & beans were a great side dish. I would like to go there again to try their other food.

WOW to the taste and quality of the food. Great prices for delicious authentic tacos with friendly service. There is no way to go wrong here. My favorites are carnitas, al pastor, and chicken tinga.

Mexican food is so much more than tacos. I urge everyone to try their other dishes. The adobo de puerco is deliciously spicy, reminiscent of Goan curry. It’s my favorite thing on the menu, but I don’t recommend it if you can’t handle spicy food.
The menudo and mole are also great. El Paisano is run by a family from Puebla. They often serve food with mole poblano, a Pueblan regional specialty that’s spicier and less sweet than the Oaxacan moles.

I was unfortunately disappointed in the tacos. I am new to the area and looking for my go to street taco location (in addition to other amazing Mexican dishes). The chicken did not taste seasoned or marinated. The steak tacos were more flavorful, but limited the experience I wanted. Service is fast and they are nice. Tacos are 3/$10. Adding a 4th is about &3.60 extra.

Great food, friendly and fast service! We stopped in here only because we saw it as we were driving by for another restaurant. We had some al pastor tacos, cabeza tacos, bistec tacos, guacamole, salsa, and rice and beans. Everything was delicious and served fresh and hot! I would definitely return!
