Wonderful restaurant off of the Main Street strip! Service was quick and the waiter checked in on us often. The chips were hot and they have a nice smooth salsa that has a bit of a kick.
My partner got the regular half chicken and half steak fajitas. The vegetables were cooked all the way through with the steak and chicken. Was the best he’s ever had.
I was lucky enough to try their new pulled pork tamales! These are brand new to the menu as of two of weeks ago. The order comes with three good sized unwrapped tamales served with red sauce and cheese on top. You do have to order a side of rice and beans if you want them. I haven’t been able to have tamales in five years and these did not disappoint!
Everything was fresh, hot, and reasonably priced. This has become my favorite Mexican restaurant in the Richmond area and I will be coming back again.

Hands down the BEST Mexican restaurant in town!
We have a ton of Mexican restaurants in this area, but this place blows every single one out of the water. Literally everything on the menu is delicious — you can taste the freshness and love in every bite. Their chicken enchiladas are unbelievable: tender, flavorful, and smothered in the most incredible verde salsa I’ve ever had. That salsa alone is worth the trip!
The service is always friendly, the food comes out hot and fresh, and the atmosphere just feels welcoming, like you’re eating a homemade meal with friends. If you’re craving authentic, flavorful Mexican food, look no further. We keep coming back and it never disappoints.

The food – it’s on point. I grew up in West Texas and good Mexican food is hard to find in Kentucky. If you found yourself at El Paisa, you found it. Stop looking.
From their sauces (verde is the best), the service- could not be better, and the main meals – this spot is the best/real deal. We need more stars to rate them.

If you’re in Richmond and want delicious, flavorful authentic Mexican food, you’d better come to this restaurant! It’s easily the best in town! The staff is very friendly, the margaritas are great, but THE FOOD is the star of the show. The last thing I had here was the enchiladas suizas, and they’re the best enchiladas I’ve ever had at a restaurant ANYWHERE. Please treat yourself and go to this restaurant!
