The food was good I enjoyed the pork fried rice and the shrimp with lobster sauce which a bit on the salty side but enjoyable nonetheless. I also ordered the rib tips as well as the bbq ribs as well as the pork chops which was also good . I will definitely go back again.

Ok, i’ve lived in the Bronx for a good amount of years & learned about this place as of recently.

Its in a really busy area under elevated trains & lots of little shops that seem to sell specialty items, music is abundant, loud & proud & parking is double & triple everywhere.

You get to the corner where its situated and are instantly taken aback by a ‘B’ rating, which has 6 months to be taken care of in NYC.

The decor is dated but cozy there is a restaurant portion, where i saw 1st date in lust couples happily eating. The front is more bar-esque with bar seating and a counter. The staff is somewhat attentive & courteous whilst juggling phone orders & language barriers, they all look like members of a Korean boy band

They ONLY accept cash!

The food is portioned well & although was nothing like what i expected, tasty. The pork fried rice is ‘Not’ the old school fried rice of lore i was expecting, no egg, shallots, sprouts, just a lot of soy sauce & onion, not the de jour hood yellow rice we all endure now, but tasty.

The Bistec Palomilla was not guisado as per tradition but seared nicely & flavorful

The shrimp Mofongo was not traditionally infused with garlic or cracklin or anything, just plantain. Which is fine because i’ve had it this way too, where the sauce is the star. This restaurants take on it did not falter, although tiny baby shrimp was used, but once again i was pleasantly surprised because the sauce was tasty.

The Ropa Vieja was my least favorite as it was nothing like Cuban ropa vieja, the meat used was not shredded but thinly sliced fatty cuts. Kudos for the attempt & the chefs interpretation but alas Not ropa vieja, but tasty nonetheless.

The popular iced tea they sell, tastes just like the old school 4c powdered ice tea, we all grew up with.

Oh the eggrolls! Cannot forget the eggrolls!! They were not the size of a burrito like days long gone, more like spring rolls now, but they seemed ‘meatier’ than the hood variants we all endure & once again tasty

Would i come back…Probably, if on a fine Summers day, i wanted some chino latino or a different take on chinese food, didnt want to spend a lot of money & there was actually parking

BETTER THAN SABROSURA! Please excuse the term but as far as Chinese & Spanish Cuisine aka “chino cubano” goes this place is the best. Chicharron de pollo is amazing, chicken and broccoli gravy actually tastes better than others, despite the different color gravy, but what blew my mind, and the reason for this rave review, is the BEEF LOMEIN. OMFG! They actually put steak in the beef lo-mein, as opposed to the cheap shreds of beef other places use, and it is delicious! Just make sure you take cash they do not accept any other payment.

Have been going here my entire life. Food, flavors, and hospitality haven’t changed a bit. It’s a true Bronx gem and the best Latin Chinese fusion spot in nyc. I recommend the broiled fish and shrimp, pork fried rice, and the batida de piña (pineapple milkshake). Honestly, everything I’ve tried is great!

I decided to order takeout from this place, even though they had a grade B. And the fish tanks near the window full of algae and mold.. still I decided to order takeout when I received my food. The white rice wasn’t even white. It had stuff in it. I guess it was cooked with meat also the portion side was too small for the price. Never ordering from here again.

The staff are always nice and attentive. The broiled shrimp was so good and the pork fried rice never fails! Food came out fast and was fresh. Be aware it’s cash only but they have an ATM.

There food is so good! I love the Hispanic and Asian fusion menu and you don’t have to worry about the origins of the meat. The beef and chicken are real and are perfectly cooked, not rubbery and odd textured like local Chinese take out places. We treat ourselves to their food at least once a month. The Spicy lo mein is the best!
