OMG- If I could give this place NEGATIVE stars, I would. The only saving grace to this place is the exit! First time trying this place for lunch, and what a disappointment. I should have realized what to expect when i entered and no one acknowledges you until you’re in their face. The young server was pleasant- but WAY overworked and the only server for a busy place (why busy? – I have no clue). Waited for a drink I asked for that never came after being served my meal, that I didn’t finish. The poor community of downtown Winter Haven are being deprived of a real experience with quality food if you’re looking to eat here for authentic Mexican cuisine. I tried the Chimichanga, and it was tasteless! No love in the flavor AT ALL! Basically, calling a pastillio a chimichanga- TERRIBLE and disrespectful to anyone who knows true quality Mexican cuisine. If this was just a fluke because the crew working is the lunch crew- I truly hope the dinner crew is WAY BETTER! Altough, if they are serving the same grade of food- good luck with this place. Only the homers who grew up not having their food seasoned are gonna support this location.

Been looking for a place with authentic and great tamales as I was missing them due to traveling. This was the place, everything was perfect. I highly recommend this place for a great traditional Mexican meal.

For the price I was surprised at the little amount of food. It was good. Nothing out of this world , nothing horrible, pretty average. I did not have a horrible experience like some describe in the reviews. I liked my cheese Enchiladas. Was surprised that for the price they didn’t come with any sides as they would at almost any other establishment. Sat outside and the vibe was cute. Not the most flavorful food I’ve had. Would I go back? If I’m downtown and I want some Mexican food, maybe. It was a nice place to sit outside. Would I go out of my way to go here? No.

Outstanding food, great taste and atmosphere, fair prices. I have been there several times and will continue visiting this place. The owner is a great person and if asked will come out to share some time with you.

Chips were rock-hard. Salsa tasted like ketchup. Tea tasted old. Food wasn’t good. We were the only 2 in the restaurant and took a long time to get the food. He only came to the table to take order, bring the food and then the check. We won’t be back.

Ok first of all we love our Hispanic food but i have never had chips, and salsa this horrible. Its like they left them in the fryer 10 minutes. Like cardboard. Nasty. The enchiladas were ugh to say the least. We have come here because my daughter likes it. I think she has changed her mind this time.

This was a great place. Me being from Houston, enjoyed the food, service, and even music that was playing.

Good I always loved this place due to it being authentic but they don’t make their flour tortillas homemade anymore it’s store bought. I asked the waitress was they store bought I could clearly tell they tasted different she said they didn’t make the homemade ones anymore. Their homemade flour tortillas was the main reason I came.

The food was a bit bland. The service was terrible. We had to ask for menus. They gave menues to people that came in after us and took their drink orders before us. We had to ask for napkins. When they brought our food they didn’t give us silverware. After all that it was that I had stomach pains and three visits to the toilet in the middle of the night that ultimately caused me to want to leave a review.
