GREAT HANDMADE TORTILLAS! El Ojo De Agua is known for their fresh tortilla making ingredients and authentic flavors. I ordered a carne asada mulita and witnessed the action firsthand. The gentleman who made it pressed it and added everything straight from the grill! My mulita was VERY flavorful.
However, the prices here are through the roof! It cost me $21 dollars for one mulita and a cup of cucumber water. I was a little annoyed as other options down the street have great authentic Mexican food and for a reasonable price. I get that it costs to purchase fresh ingredients, however other places don’t overcharge like here.
The restaurant was also blazin’ hot, there’s no AC. It was killer on a hot day. Don’t recommend coming during the summer.
The gentleman who made my tortillas and mulita was super nice and I would definitely give him five stars if I was rating solely on his customer service! I’ll come back but not that often…

This place is too expensive for the quality of the food and the cleanliness of the place. I paid $18.00 dollars for an order of chilaquiles and they got my order wrong for the third time. Your best bet is Casa Jimenez or Jalapenños, around the same price, but a big difference in the taste and quality of the food!!

Although somewhat friendly, food is not good, over priced, I ordered 2 Gorditas, one with al pastor the other with carnitas, both were under cooked masa, no seasonings, very blan, I will never go back again. I see other people put 5 stars, they need to go to El rancho grande, their food is 100% better, salsa is the best, and worth the price. I’ve had Gorditas before at another place and know what good is. I’d give zero stars but that’s not an option at ojo de Agua. My son had a rock in his fat covered al pastor.

This is one of the best intimate and wholesome Mexican restaurants in town. The staff is so kind and friendly. Helped me decided on what to eat. The prices are not jacked up due to inflation and you can still get into a food coma under $10. I eat out a lot and this is place is in the top 5 in San Jacinto.

Nasty menudo, smelled bad, no flavor and over priced, the only good thing was the bottle coca cola, lady at the cashier made a face when I asked to confirm the total price. I’ll never go back.

This place never fails! Everything I come everything is so delicious and freshly made. It’s a family owned business and they’re always there to take care of the customer. I love this place and have been coming at for the past 5 years!

Give in it 5 stars because the food was delicious!!! I really enjoyed my food. We had the barbacoa estilo Texcoco and it was amazingly good. Salsa super hot and tortillas freshly made. Humble place and delicious.

What the guy said did not match at all. Don’t know if he truly is that naive or lied.

Delicious food, excellent home made tortillas, the aqua frescas are a bit pricey but tasty. Good service and friendly employees. The carne asada and carnitas tacos were amazing!

Glad I still gave them a chance because the food was very good. I ordered two quesabirrias with consome & tacos de asada & al pastor. Super big btw!
The consome & quesabirrias were delicious! Very flavorful! My whole family was sharing it. 10/10
The asada tacos were great too. I really love the grilled onions. Salsa was very tasty & a surprise kick but in a good way. I prefer lime though not lemons. 9/10
The one thing I was not too pleased about with was the al pastor 6/10
The restaurant does need some music for ambience & a good organization but the food is definitely tasty! We will be going back 🙂
