El Nopalito is a standard place for Tex Mex food, however I think in such a saturated area you can likely do better for the same price/experience. I found the chips and salsa to be okay, the salsa didn’t have a ton of flavor but it was decent. I appreciated the large volume of guac they served but it also needed some seasoning, mostly tasted like mashed avocado and not much else. My chimichangas were pretty good, standard ground beef with a pool of refried beans.
If you are in this very specific strip mall and don’t want Southern food, pho, Japanese, or Korean BBQ and also don’t want to drive 2-3 minutes to any other Tex Mex spot nearby, El Nopalito is an okay-to-decent spot that will get the job done, but likely won’t “wow” anyone.

Are you someone who thinks onion is too overpowering and Taco Bell is too spicy? This is the place for you!
Salsa is as flavorful as water. Tastes like they took a dollar store cans of crushed tomatoes, watered it down and called it salsa.

Family-owned gem of a Mexican restaurant with immaculate vibess! The service is top-tier, the owners are so sweet and personable, and the food is somehow even better. The drinks are to die for as they always have specials throughout the week. You can feel the love in every bite—10/10, no notes. Shoutout Vivi and Eric, who always take care of us when we go !

As we stumbled out of hobby town, we were enticed by the smell of the food coming from the restaurant next door and decided to try it. We walked in and were told to sit wherever we please. The service was friendly and prompt! The food tasted amazing and was remarkably affordable! 10/10 would recommend! this establishment will probably work its way into my regular rotation.
Chicken quesadilla and chicken tacos were amazing. The chicken was tender and seasoned to perfection. The frozen mango margarita was amazing! I will definitely be back for some of their weekday margarita specials

Extremely disappointed that I found a hair imbedded into my steak midway into my burrito. This was one of my favorite Mexican places for burritos too.

The food is decent. I don’t have anything bad to say, just not all that inspiring. The service was slowish and inconsistent. As I go to Hobby Town every now and then, I have seen this place many times and was curious. Would I go back? If I was in the area, perhaps, just to give them the benefit of the doubt.
The chips and salsa were just meh. I really found the salsa to be in lack of much real flavor. Salsa quality says a lot about how the remaining food journey will be, imho.
The carnitas dinner was fair. The pork was a little dry, as if I had spent too much time being kept warm. The flavor was pretty good, though. My friend is a fan of trying chimichangas from as many places as possible and the one here was a bit of a letdown. The exterior tortilla looked like it spent very little time in the pan or oven. Poorly executed is my take away.

Good prices, nice and friendly staff with a quaint ambiance. Tortilla chips although, a bit hard for me, cane out still warm!

Would definitely go back when I’m in town; good food, good service, fair prices. Only thing is the salsa was sweet, like they added sugar to it or something. Other than that, food waa delicious. I had the veggie fajitas and when I asked the server if meat broth or lard was used in the beans and rice or for any flavoring and she said no. That’s important to me since I don’t consume animal-derived products.
