The atmosphere is nice. However, everything else was so very disappointing. Salsa was thin and tasted like water. Queso was so thick bcus it’s basically a block of cheese melted down and has no flavor. Chips are thick and hard. Food was extremely plain and basic!! No flavor, no love put into it. Price is decent, and portions are good. Alot of options on the menu. I’ll never be back, and I do not recommend it!! Staff just kind of hanging out, not too attentive.

Our food was delicious, as well as our margarita. The salsa was so good, ecspecially when hot and mild mixed together, perfect heat. It was out first time there, so we weren’t sure if they have very relaxed service, or they are just. Little slow, it does give you time to enjoy the salsa and cocktails.

As far as I can tell it’s traditional Mexican food. I’ve eaten there more times than I can count, the food is always excellent, and the margaritas are good too. The staff is friendly, helpful, and eager to please. I can’t say enough about this restaurant, incredible Mexican food at a great price with good drinks and an incredibly clean location.

When we’re talking Mexican food, we’re talking THIS particular El Nopal. Several good places closeby, but this one’s our go-to. Great food, great prices, and ya can’t beat the margaritas! Cindy not only provides fantastic service, but also is just very real and very sweet. She’s our favorite! Highly recommend!

We love the Erlanger El Nopal. And i love spicy margaritas–they’re addictive. The spice cuts the sweetness of the margarita mix. (Don’t judge until you try!!) And if you want a terrific spicy margarita, ask for Cindy! She is awesome and makes them exactly like I like them. The food is great too. We always order the combination fajitas for one (or 2, depending on our hunger level). They’re well seasoned, well cooked and delicious. We don’t get rice but the beans are tasty and not smothered with cheese. El Nopal Erlanger is always our “go to” for Mexican food and we would certainly recommend to all.

We are in from out of town and ordered a huge dinner for 4 adults. We got a variety of different things. We walked in to pick up the food and it smelled so clean in there, which I was really impressed by. The staff was very friendly and our food was still hot, although I was 15 minutes late picking it up. Everything was absolutely delicious. The Carne asada tacos were authentic, which you don’t get often from a restaurant. I typically have to go to a taqueria for that. The queso was some of the best we’ve ever had. Highly recommend this place!!

Food tasted pretty good, the servers were kind and courteous and margaritas are great. I only gave it 3 stars because I had serious nausea and reflux afterward. I believe it was from the pork/carnitas. I was the only one in my party who ate pork and the only one who had a stomach ache afterward. I’d give this place a try again, but will stay away from the pork.
