Came in for lunch, and was seated immediately with chips and salsa, but then no one came to our table to take our order after 20 minutes of waiting. A few people came in after us and got their food/drinks. We ended up walking out and eating elsewhere. Will not be back, which us disappointing as I typically have good experience here.

We had an amazing date, my husband and I. Our server was very kind and patient. The bar tender made an amazing drink for me it was so tasty. My husband has a hard time finding places that serve the tacos de lengua so we were pleasantly surprised to find it on their menu.

This is me and my coworker’s go to lunch spot. Food is always good, staff is always friendly, and our waitress, Blanca, is absolutely amazing; she always remembers our drinks and asks how our day is going at the office. Give that woman a raise!

Snowstorm 2026. 8 degrees snow and ice, El Nopal of course is open. Parking lot cleared. We eat here twice a week, my kids love it. Very friendly staff.

Great flautas! We were a large group, and everyone enjoyed their food! The only reason I didn’t give a 5-star review for food was because the guacamole and salsa were so bland, it was if there were no cilantro, salt, or seasoning of any kind.

We were in Louisville for the Wildlights display at the Zoo and stopped here for dinner. I’ll just say, this was one of the better Mexican dinners I’ve had in some time. The salsa was bland but the meal was delicious! The flavor of the rice and beans was great! They had a spicy margarita that I had to try. It too was delicious.

Ordered a carry out for Pollo con arroz @ 4:30 on a Wednesday afternoon. Got it home there was no queso cheese, just chicken and rice. Called to have them fix the issue and the guy said he’d have the manager call me…@ 5:01 I called again. Explained again to 2 other people and a guy said he’d have the manager call me. Meanwhile, 2 hours later @ 7:04 I called yet AGAIN! I asked for the manager the lady said she was the manager and said I needed to bring the receipt to show proof. I asked her why she didn’t call me back acted like she didn’t understand, held the phone out as if talking to someone else then hung up on me. I called back @ 7:07 asked why she hung up and again acted like she didn’t understand. I lost my patience and hung up. This is not the first time this place has messed up our order. One time they even delivered it to me because it was so messed up. We order the same thing every time and it seems that the price changes each time. My plan…El Nopal may be closer but I will go back to Gustavo’s where my business is appreciated.

We used to eat at the one on Lagrange Rd. The food & service was always great. Just found out it closed & tried Crestwood location. Service was terrible & the chicken in our quesadillas was crunchy. Could hardly eat & we will not return.
