Ordered carry out My total was $27.34, I was Charged 29.63 and then they said i didn’t have enough money on my card? i told them to try again and they said it worked. After getting in my car i realized they charged my 29.63 and then a 4.48 extra. I went back in & Managers were rude, would not let me speak and would not hear what i was trying to say. The manager tried to tell me it was an issue with my bank. Very upset. They were not willing to to refund me nor do anything about over charging me. I usually don’t make a big deal but $14 over charged for a burrito, and rice is RIDICULOUSLY OUTRAGEOUS. lost my appetite will never come back. Poor service, lack of respect for customers.

Went in there today because I wanted some good food. I got the chicken, rice and queso cheese. When I went to stir up my food I seen I hair in it. Took me 10 mins to get the waitress attention. Then when I called another one over to show her. She looked at me as if she didn’t know what to tell me. She said would you like a fresh one. And I had to wait another 10 mins after that to get my plate again. After 2 bites I was unable to eat because of the thought of the hair being in my food. They didn’t take any money off for my problems or anything. Mind you my daughter and her bf also were done with their food before I got to even try to eat mine.

This is a great Mexican restaurant. The food is authentic and can’t get any better.
I got my usual cheese: Enchiladas, tostada, beans, rice, chicken tamale.

Everything was authentic, like i said.

Would I recommend this restaurant? Yes
Would I return? Yes

Saw a sign on I-65 and decided to grab lunch. The steak burrito was stuffed with meat and was delicious. The tacos were also very full. The rice and beans were flavorful and not bland like some other places. Our waitress was very sweet and helpful. We’ll definitely be back next time we are down around Seymour!

Never in the multiple years we have dined at El Nopal have we been charged for extra chips until this past weekend. This included an order of queso with our party of 4. Asked for chips twice to finish off our meal and queso. Was shocked to see the extra charge. Will no longer go there. Very disappointing…..

We are addicted to this place. The Hot salsa is more ways than one. The service is great and the food is always hot and fresh.

We enjoyed eating here on a date night before a family reunion. Good food all around: chips and salsa, beef burrito, huarache (Mexican pancake) with shredded chicken refined beans etc. Don’t forget the lime margarita on the rocks to wash it down

My wife and I have been coming here off-and-on for 13 years. Needless to say, it’s up and down.

We dined this past Friday, February 13th at this location.

The service took forever. We sat for 25 minutes before our order was taken. We waited another 45 minutes for our food to arrive. The server (older gentleman with parted salt and pepper hair, chubby guy) simply slammed our plates on the table and left. The food was cold and had obviously died in the window (this allows for foodborne illnesses to populate). He didnt come back for quite some time. We were so hungry that we ate the cold and subpar food.

Long after our plates sat on the table, he stopped by. I was polite and told him the food was cold. He then got mad and started blaming us. He told me that I should have made him aware, and he responded by telling me I didnt let him know. My response was “you didn’t come back”…..and wow did he get mad. He slammed the table and told me to talk to the cashier.

Come to find out, the cashier is the female owner. She was very rude and refused to make things right while displaying zero integrity whatsoever, but offered us a discount on our next visit (isn’t going to happen, they couldn’t run my credit card fast enough and shove us out the door). The server was at the host stand and started talking smack about us (thinking we dont know Spanish). Once my wife stepped back in to the restaurant and looked at him, he shut up quickly.

If you read reviews you will notice a trend. When things are great, they are great. When they drop the ball, they become combative and refuse to take ownership and accountability for their failures as an establishment.

What a terrible way to represent the El Nopal brand. We will never be back.

Save your money for a restaurant that displays passion on a consistent basis. If you want Mexican food, go to a different restaurant that upholds traditional Mexican values instead of completely disrespecting their own culture and values with their poor representation.

The one good thing during our visit was the band. They were fun!

To the owner – stop commenting your apologies to the negative reviews. When someone brings an issue to your attention, you and your wife are combative and argue with guests while placing the blame on them. You are a true disgrace to the Hispanic community and the El Nopal brand.

Food delicious. Chips tasted like they were from a bag not fresh. Very disappointing. Had the fajitas for 2. It was huge. Could have fed 4 of us.

The staff at this location are always great to me when I go in! They all have a nice sense of humor and the hook it up when it comes to the chips and salsa. Music isn’t too loud or so quiet that you can’t hear, it is handicap accessible and they do sing ya happy birthday if you want to embarrass a family member. Foods decently price with generous portions! They also work with diets, even having vegetarian options. Over all one of the best sit-down restaurants in the area.
