My experience was amazing. I ended up getting there late , 948pm and it was like I arrived at normal hours… The service was amazing. Our waitress was very polite and professional.. the chef cooked the food to perfection.. and everything was mouth wateringly good.. A good place for events such as personal parties, date night, and out with the family. The manager checked in and asked how we were doing. Very nice touch. Priced well. Not going to break the bank . Yet fine enough to have an anniversary… The atmosphere is very vibrant… Music… Margaritas… And more

Always a good time and good food here. Staff seem to stick around for a long time, same people for years with small turn over. All seem happy and helpful and we have gotten to know many of them. They will make a point to stop and say “hello”
Its a very welcoming place with good food and service, te best Mexican restaurant around.

The food was.. okay. The rice was crunchy, the chimichangas tasted sour and raw.. the Queso was also strange tasting. The chips were the only good part. Great service though. D+

El Nopal in Jeffersontown is a regular dinner spot for us. We love that they have indoor and outdoor seating available. We are always seated quickly and their service is excellent. I would highly recommend the Pollo Ranchero. (Grilled chicken with Rojo sauce and cheese along with a chicken enchilada, beans, & rice) It is delicious! They have a wide variety of dinners, combinations, and specials. If you are in the area, give El Nopal Jeffersontown a try. Please call ahead if you have a large group.

I was first introduced to El Nopal when a group of out-of-town contractors needed a quick, reasonable lunch. It quickly became a weekly favorite with its lunch favorites like the Speedy Gonzales. That was over twenty years ago and much has changed. The family moved to Louisville and El Nopal has become a hometown institution for Mexican cuisine. Success hasn’t gone to their head. The food is still great, with quick, friendly service. What has changed is I am now retired and able to kick back and enjoy whenever.

Stop in and check out the new artwork.

Food and drinks good but my server really sucked!! We had to find him so we can order. Then he never came back to check on us after we received our food. We had to find him again to get some napkins and our check. If I go back to this establishment I definitely do not want him and I will ask for another server.. better yet, I will go to the Blankenbaker location.- service is much better..

My friend and I were promptly seated but then waited for 20 minutes and had to ask for a server (it was not busy). Once we ordered, my friend’s food came but mine never did. I’ve been to several other El Nopals, but we wanted to check out a different location than our normal one. I have never had a bad experience at an El Nopal until today.
