I usually love this location but doordashed dessert and there was a bug in the box.

Edit: The manager was SO apologetic and offered a meal on house which was greatly appreciated. Staff were beyond kind and helpful in making the issue right and I still really like this location!

We were in Louisville for guys weekend. After a long day of tasting it was good to stop and get dinner. Huge portions and good food. The place was full of drunk people which was loud but the food was good.

This el nopal kind of skimps u on food. Every other one I get quesadillas from they’re loaded. This one is barely even half that and they give u less rice and lettuce all while keeping the price the same kind of disappointed especially cuz it usually fills me up but ik this won’t hate to say but I won’t be going back to this location again. The one in Hillview off Preston next to beef o Brady’s is far superior compared to this one. It’s the one I go to 99% of the time. Save your money go there

Favorite Mexican restaurant in town. The service is always good and the food is consistent. We try to go during happy hour because they have great draft beer specials. My go to is the carnitas dinner. They have the most tender, flavorful pork in town and the salsa for the carnitas is EXCELLENT! It is enough for both me and my wife!

Their pablano Ala cart is tasty and a great addition if you like them.

The grandspoil always gets the tacos and for $5 they are a great deal.

There is nothing better after a long hard gruesome day at work than to end your night with an ice cold beer and a good Taco. Or 5 or 6. After finishing a job in New Albany the guys and I were in need of some hearty meal after work before getting on the road to head back home for a 5 hour drive. So, as you can guess we needed a meal that would hold us off until we got home. I ordered the 3 Caritas tacos that came with rice and beans, my partners ordered the steak and shrimp which also came with rice and beans. The other ordered the Taco, burrito, and enchilada plate. Along with a quesadilla which was gigantic. To top the night our server suggested a shot of tequila as we were ordering our beers. Our amazing server also took helped make it a great experience. When the drinks arrived at the table we were expecting some 12 Oz bottles of beer. No. We got giant beer mugs that made me feel like I was drinking from a giants cup. You can smell the taunting smell of the food before it arrived to the table. This place was just what we needed for the night. It is located in a beautiful part of town with lots to do and see. If you like Mexican cuisine and a fun friendly atmosphere you should definitely stop in and say hi. If you are not sure what to order the staff is very helpful. Five stars from me!

This place use to be great but now…..the drinks, el nopal margarita just tasted like papaya juice. The mango daiquiri was colord ice water.. The elnepal in the stone server the meat was dry and tough, cheese and vegatbles were cold. The server got agitated when I told her about the drink. Manage asked everyone how was everything all around us but not us.. Quality and service is now subpar. I can no longer recommend

We went there for my birthday, had been wanting to try it the entire time I have been in Louisville, turns out it was the best Mexican food I have had in a very long time. The Margaritas were top notch! Walked in was sealed, drink order taken, chips and salsa left, server brought glasses of water to us without being asked. Most places you have to ask before getting them. Less than 5 minutes drinks were in front of us and Food order taken, within 10 minutes food was on the table and phenomenal! Very large portions, we both brought food back. The staff were impressive with their kindness and hospitality! Will definitely be back.

It’s cool. Staff is nice, and food is good, but there is a little bit of a language barrier, so if you ask for something other than what the meal comes with, it’s usually wrong. They do fix it when you tell them. Margaritas are fire.

Typical Mexican food. Big, cheap, fresh. But I don’t like their sauce.
