Traveled all away from Orlando to come eat here. It was worth the long drive!! The prices are very reasonable and the food is beyond delicious. As a Nica, I’m very happy with everything here. The staff are very accommodating with their clients. They made sure we were good and had a good chat with them. I’m already planning to come back here a couple more times already! Happy that they’re celebrating their 3rd year here and praying that they have many more years to come!

Disappointing Experience
My wife is from Nicaragua and we were both excited to try this restaurant, hoping for a taste of home. Unfortunately, the experience was very disappointing. The food lacked flavor — the chicken was greasy and seemed like it had just been dipped in oil, and the rice and beans were dry and bland. We couldn’t even finish our meals. To make things worse, we were overcharged at the register. Save your money and time — sadly, we wouldn’t recommend this place.

Fantastic service! The steaks are marinated and seasoned very well. The tamale is stuffed definitely get your money’s worth. I love the passionfruit juice and it has crunchy seeds. Great service will definitely be back.

Nicaraguan cuisine is pure comfort food! El Nica served up some amazingly delicious seasoned Carne Asada, complete with rice, beans, fried cheese, cabbage salad and plantain chips. Their fried Tostones with cheese was tasty and that fresh passion fruit juice just refreshingly hits the spot! Must check out this place and see for yourself.

We went to the restaurant and asked about several menu items since so many of them looked delicious. However, when we confirmed our order and the prices, we were told that the menu had been printed incorrectly and that some platters actually cost double the listed price. They also mentioned that several items were no longer available. At that point, we decided not to eat there since we felt misled by their own menu and staff.
Please be sure to ask and confirm your order before placing it. Also hope they change their menu to reflect the correct pricing and items available to avoid future misunderstanding.

We got the Nica platter, which had a bit of everything. It was delicious, and with our table of four we still took about a third of it home! Tio Nica was super friendly!

Absolutely unbelievable. The best food we had in our 8 day trip to Florida. The carne asada was mouthwatering good…the fried cheese? We immediately ordered another after tasting. The owner and staff are amazing. This is a must hit.

We were so happy to find this nica restaurant until the bill came. Ask for an itemized check and check it! They overcharged us and tried to cover it up. A handful of other reviewers experienced the same. So unfortunately, we will not be returning.
